BWC ‘First Fill’ Rule for Meds

• Allows for immediate filling of prescriptions for acute injury medications prior to formal claim approval

• If Claim is ultimately denied by BWC, the medication payment will be charged to the BWC’s Surplus fund and not to the employer.
