By Being Honest

“Honesty” must be treated seriously

• Ananias and Saphira died for their dishonesty – Acts 5:1-11.

• Dishonesty closely associates us with the devil – John 8:44.

• Dishonesty is listed among the things that God “hates” – Proverbs 6:16-19.

• Liars will have their place in hell – Rev. 21:8.

• Paying taxes

• School

• Home

• Local congregation

• Application of Scripture

Being honest makes us different

• Part of our new life – Col. 3:9-10; Eph. 4:22-25.

• We are concerned about honorable conduct before others – 1 Pet. 2:11-12; 2 Cor. 8:18-21.

• ONLY IN THIS WAY CAN WE SHINE IN A WORLD OF DARKNESS!
