1. Divide the students into pairs, then hand out Worksheet A and give them a few minutes to do Exercise 1, in which they have to find the four things not commonly associated with apartments or houses. Check answers in open class. 2. Give the students another few minutes to complete Exercise 2, which consolidates the meaning of the words in the table. Check answers in open class. 3. Keeping the students in their pairs, hand out Worksheet B and give them a few minutes to read through the text, encouraging them to look up any new vocabulary. Then ask them to attempt Exercise 3, in which they have to match the apartment hunters to the apartments available. Point out that on the basis of the information given there are three apartment hunters (or pairs of apartment hunters) who will not be able to find a suitable apartment, and for each of the others there is only one apartment that might be suitable. Check answers in open class. 4. Finally, hand out Worksheet C and ask the students to find and correct the twelve mistakes in the apartment advertisement. Point out that the mistakes are all grammatical or lexical, and that no correction requires them to write more than one additional word.
