First of all I would like to welcome the math department to this meeting. Over the years our faculty has been very strong with its instruction and has been open to new ideas to generate student success. Our overall goal is to provide instruction to our students in a way that will promote 21st century education and integrate technology into our instruction in a way that would be effective. The purpose of our meeting today is to stress the importance of incorporating technology into your classrooms through effective instruction. One method of integration is through podcasting. Throughout this meeting you will be provided with information from my colleagues on how to develop podcasts and what your students will benefit from podcasting.

As the 21st century education emerges, we are posed with the problem of keeping the interests of the children through means other than the traditional ways of teaching. Robert Marzano’s research has proven that children learn better by multi-sensory techniques. We also know that the technology era has boomed over the last decade and continues to grow exponentially. Today as we discussed ideas for developing your classroom notes in a way that will be appealing and will involve multi-sensory learning techniques through the use of podcasting. Podcasting is a way for our students to access your classroom notes, short video clips, or classroom information any time by means of audio and or visual through their IPod.
