The Telkom Customer Forum held at the luxurious One&Only Hotel in Cape Town marked the fourth year in a row the telecoms giant chose By Design Africa to conceptualise and manage these events. Creat-ing an informative, unforgettable and enjoyable 4-day experience, By Design Africa helped enhance Telkom’s customer relationships with over 200 of its partners. Bespoke electronic and printed invitations, exciting excursions including winelands tours, watersports and rides on Harley Davidson motorbikes, handmade corporate gifts and branded guest management Touch Points added a personal touch that served to again make this annual event a stunning success.

The Chamber and Industry Movement of South Africa (CHAMSA) and it’s 4 constituent members – AHI, FABCOS, NAFCOC and SACCI made enormous progress around the fight against poverty. In promoting the this strategic agenda, CHAMSA invited various entities including govern-ment, NGO’s, civil soceity and the academic communtiies to use their resources in the drive of ”Business against Poverty”. By Design Africa organised a dinner and 2 day conference to aid in achieving these out-comes. Our Execution: Event Design and Management – Venue hire, Decor, Registration, Gala Dinner, Secure the Entertainment, Speakers, MC, Catering, Technical, Corporate Gifts and a BOP Workshop.

ABSA JEWISH ACHIEVERS AWARDS

The Brief was to manage and execute the 2014 Absa Jewish Achiever Awards for the SA Jewish Report with reference to the following ele-ments: Liaison with sub-committee, sponsors and Absa Marketing team, Administration of nomination process and judging, Event man-agement co-ordination and logistics. The event took place at Voda-world with 640 guests at 60 tables.

The Cell C Career Choice Expo wanted to have a platform for the dissemination of information on education, training and career develop-ment. It targeted 1200 learners in each of the provinces, a total of 7200 learners. By Design Africa focused on venue selection and manage-ment as well as getting the Chief’s permission where required. We also provided set design and stage branding, product branding, Exhibi-tion and Expo Stand branding, signage and banners, vehicle branding, branded corporate gifts, Mall Marketing, invitations to media to attend the event, invitations to celebrities and arranged signing sessions. Post event, we supplied Media monitoring and Video footage where viewers commented about their experience.

CELL C “RIDE BACK TO SCHOOL WITH CELL C”

By Design Africa had the privilege of arranging the ‘Ride Back to School with Cell C” campaign. The main brief was to procure 10 000 Cell C Branded Bikes, Brand displays in 42 Cell C franchise outlets and showrooms, Fulfillment of bike delivery to postpaid subscribers and prepaid winners, Outbound campaign to prepaid competition win-ners to obtain delivery details.

Re-quired number of guests 100. ICASA - 14TH CRASA/8TH SAPRA CONFERENCE - BOKSBURG

The brief was to conceptualise, manage and produce a 12 day confer-ence that included local, sub-continental and international and stake-holders.

INVESTORS FORUM - DAR’ ES SALAAM - ISKAKA-KIGALI/KEZA - GITEGA - MUSONGATI RAILWAY PROJECTThe brief was to organise and co-ordinate on behalf of the governments of Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi all activities related to the Tanzania-Rwanda-Burundi Railway Investment Project. 200 Development Part-ners, Private Investors and Potential Technical Partners gathered at the Movenpick Hotel in Dar es Salam.

ZAMBIA TELKOM CUSTOMER FORUM - CIO’S GOLF DAY

The challenge was to design, produce and manage a wow experience for 200 delegates including partners, well-travelled, high net worth, C level executives who have seen it all at this prestigious event in Zam-bia. Execution included International destination proposal, all travel and accommodation logistics including charter flight, themed electronic and hard copy invitation. A website was designed and developed for pre-event to assist guests with enquiries and facilitate a seamless RSVP process as well as post event, to allow guests to revisit fond memories through the online gallery.

MTN SAMAS GUEST MANAGEMENT- SUN CITY

By Design Africa used our sleek and seamless guest management process to best effect, managing 150 VIP guests invited to this high-profile event at Sun City. Branded Touch Points facilitated smooth run-ning of the process and played an important role as the “face” of MTN and the SAMAS campaign.
