Wood comes from trees.

They use big chainsaws to cut down the trees.

The people who cut down the trees are called lumberjacks.

They load the logs on big trucks and take them away.

The trucks take the logs to the lumber mill.

We just learned a lot of words for WOOD.

When a tree is cut down, and all the branches are taken off, all that is left is

the trunk. We call that a log.

When the logs are cut in big pieces, we call it lumber.

The mill sends the lumber to people who want to make something from the wood.

A person who makes things from wood as their job is called a carpenter.
