WHAT ARE FRANCE’S RELIGION? Catholic Religion in France: About 80% of the
population in France is in a Catholic Religion. Catholics in France do not attend church regularly.
The Protestant Religion in France: The Protestant Religion are represented by one million French people. The France Protestant people are located in the Northern France.
The Religion of Islam in France: Islam is the second largest religion in Europe. There’s about five million Muslims in France, but some are North African.
The Jewish Religion in France: In France today, there are estimated about 650,000 Jews in France. However in France during the middle ages Jews were persecuted and eventually expelled.

FRENCH TRADITIONS Pâques: means Easter in France. In France,
there’s no church bells that rings from the Thursday to Good Friday until Easter Sunday.
Poisson D'Avril: translated as Easter Fish in French tradition. Children make fish out of paper, then pin them to the backs of many adults as possible. Then they running away while saying Poisson D'Avril.
Bastille Day: is celebrated on July 14 kind of like the fourth of July in the USA. The celebration remembers the day in 1789, when the prison at the Bastille was stormed and pillaged by angry French citizens, the beginning of the French Revolution.
