that attacks the body. Flares and Remissions. (ON AGAIN, OFF
AGAIN.) Not contagious Immune system is overactive.
AUTOIMMUNITY OF LUPUS Body cannot identify alien invaders from
domestic tissue The body creates too many antibodies Attacks the healthy tissue
