TRUTH/QUESTION/ANSWER• 5:20 Now the law came in to increase the

trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more

• 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 6:2 By no means! You are united to Christ!

• All of us are by nature enslaved to sin – we don't rule sin; sin rules us.

• God alone is the decisive deliverer from this slavery, and our part – which is real and crucial – is dependent on his.

• Without this deliverance from the rule and slavery of sin – without a new direction of righteousness and holiness in our lives – we will not inherit eternal life.
