LIFE OF JESUS
EDICT OF MILANDeclaration by Emperor Constantine
Made all religions legal in the Roman Empire
Intended to legalize Christianity
Did not end all persecutors of Christians
Two Ideas as why Constantine made Christianity the official religion.
Constantine had a vision of the sign of Christ. God told him to place the sign on the standards of his army.
He just converted to Christianity for political means.
Christianity religion of Roman Empire
Separated Europe into Protestants and Catholics
People became unhappy with the Christian church
Martin Luther a German monk wrote his 95 thesis. Which stated that the pope was a false authority but the bible was the one with true authority.
It also said that people could only get salvation by the faith of God’s forgiveness.
CHRISTIANITY REFORMATION
CHRISTIANITY REFORMATION {CON}
It also said that all Christians were equal and that people didn’t need others to interpret the bible for them, they could do it themselves.
The consequence or outcome was that the pope didn’t like it and Luther burns the Papal decree in the viewing of his students.

KING HENRY VIII ACT OF SUPROMECY
Reconciled king Henry VIII as the supreme head of the church in England.
Gained right for himself and heirs to have political, social, and religious control over church
Those who denied supremacy were considered as traitors
Some say during the rise of conservative Christianity in the early 1980s with political action groups like the Moral Majority. Others say it goes back to the 300s, when Rome’s emperor Constantine initiated a set of laws limiting the rights of Non- Christians.
Most people see through hypocrisy and judgment that permeated the church for so long.

RELIGIOUS IDENTIFICATION

CHRISTIANITY PRACTICED TODAY
Christian is practiced in many ways or in terms of the seven sacraments or "mysteries." These include baptism, the Eucharist (communion), matrimony, Holy Orders, confirmation or penance, reconciliation, and the Anointing of the Sick.
Christian practice should include acts of personal piety such as prayer, Bible reading, and attempting to live a moral lifestyle, to include not only obedience to the Ten Commandments, as interpreted by Christ (as in the Sermon on the Mount), but also love for one's neighbor, whether friend or enemy, Christian or non-Christian, in both attitude and action.
Original founder recognize Christianity Today
I think the founder would recognize Christianity today because there are actually people who spread the word.
Christians teach today that it is impossible for people to completely reform themselves, but that moral and spiritual progress can only occur with God's help through the gift of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within all faithful believers. Christians believe that by sharing in Christ's life, death, and resurrection they die with him to sin and can be resurrected with him to new life.
I think the founder wouldn’t recognize it because there isn’t so many Christians that does not except you who for who you are but Apostle Paul wrote "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
