Bay of Fundy CanadaHighest tidal range in the world. (Extreme high and low)Oceanographers attribute it to tidal resonance. The time it takes a large wave to go from the mouth of the bay to the inner shore and back is practically the same as the time from one high tide to the next.

Characteristics of the Moon

21. Characteristics of the moon: Dry, airless, small compared to the earth, and has large variations in surface temperature. 22. Size- 3,476 km acrossDensity- 1/8th as much as the Earth. Density is similar to the earths outer layers.Temperature- Range from 130 C to -180 CAtmosphere- No atmosphere. Not enough gravity.Water- No liquid water. May be ice near the poles

Formation of the Moon

23. Scientists believe that the moon was formed when the Earth and another planet sized object collided throwing out debris that eventually formed the moon.
