Deuteronomy 8:18—“ But thou shalt remember

the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to

get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he

sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

It does not matter how hard the times are because

Scripture makes us to understand that God will give us

power to make wealth. Hard times are not strange in

human history; money failed in Egypt and it is failing

now. The land failed and there was famine in Egypt. We

are seeing biblical occurrences of famine in different

parts of the world nowadays. Hard times also affected the

peace of the land back in the Bible-days.

2 Chronicles 15:5

“And in those times there was no peace to him that went

out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were

upon all the inhabitants of the countries.”

The effect of hardship is blowing everywhere all around

the world.

1 Peter 4:12

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial

which is to try you, as though some strange thing hap-

pened unto you. But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partak-

ers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be

revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

The economic downturn we observe around us, people

losing their jobs left, right and center, is not new.

Ecclesiastes 1:9—“ The thing that hath been, it is that

which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall

be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”

Hard times have always occurred and will always occur. In

fact, it will get worse as the second coming of the Lord

draws nearer.

Matthew 24:7—“For nation shall rise against nation, and

kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and

pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”

But we as children of God are already exempted in the

name of Jesus. The secret of our exemption is the covenant

of seed-time and harvest-time

Genesis 8:22—“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and

harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and

day and night shall not cease.”

If you do not sow, do not expect to reap. It takes sowing to

reap in hard times.

WHAT IS A COVENANT?

A covenant is a deal enacted by God based on well-defined

terms and sealed with an oath. We recognise that the Bible

is a book of covenants and engaging with every biblical

covenant that is of interest to us differentiates us from the

world around us. If we forget the covenant, we will forgo

the benefits.

Psalm 89:34—“My covenant will I not break, nor alter the

thing that is gone out of my lips.”

James 1:25

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and

continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a

doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

God and man are the two parties to this covenant. If you

only hear and not do, then you are not completing your

part of the covenant and hence should not expect the

rewards. The covenant of seed-time and harvest-time is

the gateway to a world of supernatural blessing. If you

refuse to sow, you can never reap. The level of your

sowing determines the level of your reaping.

Galatians 6:7—“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for

whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Do not stop sowing. Understand that even if you have not

seen the results of your giving, it does not mean you

should stop. For instance, if someone refuses to release

carbon dioxide and wants to accumulate all the oxygen

possible, such a person will end up dead. Brethren, you

need to understand that if you do not give, you are closing

up yourself from receiving. Your giving does not make

God richer rather it is for your benefit.

2 Corinthians 9:6—“But this I say, He which soweth

sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth

bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man

according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not

grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful

giver.”

We must recognise that our seed is not a financial

donation to help God. It is for our own good. The

Scriptures make us understand that as you give, it will be

given back to you. So giving is absolutely for our own

benefit. A donation mentality leads to frustration while a

transaction mentality leads to manifestation. Sowing

brings about reaping because what you do not sow does

not bring forth fruits.

Our seed sown is a spiritual transaction for provoking

favour upon our life. You can never be found dry if you

truly sow unto heaven with your heart and not grudgingly.

Proverbs 3:9—“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and

with the first fruits of all thine increase.”

The gateway to supernatural abundance is giving. If you

want to enjoy supernatural abundance, you have to give

your way into it. Giving in the kingdom is a covenant.

You do not loose when you give with a covenant

mentality. In the world, you reduce when you give hence

everyone will prefer to keep so as to increase but the

Scripture states the reverse in the book of Proverbs.

Proverbs 11:24—“There is that scattereth, and yet

increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is

meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”

If you are stingy to release carbon dioxide from your

nostrils, you will not be qualified to take in oxygen.

Therefore, the permanent way to poverty is accumulation

without dissipation. We have heard of several people

stealing money and accumulating wealth. They just end

up dead and leave all the money behind.

Jeremiah 17:11

“As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not;

so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them

in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.”

By covenant, we are not permitted to suffer what the

world suffers. The covenant is our covering against the

economic assault coming upon the world. Who you sign a

covenant with determines the sign that comes upon you.

When you sign with a credit card company, you are not

protected from economic assaults but when you sign with

God, you are protected.

Exodus 8:22-23

“And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which

my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to

the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst

of the earth. And I will put a division between my people

and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.”

WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF THE COVENANT OF

SUPERNATURAL BLESSING?

1. Tithing

Give God meat and He will meet your financial needs.

Malachi 3:10—“Bring ye all the tithes into the

storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and

prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will

not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a

blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive

it.”

2. Worship Offering

Give to God according to His blessing upon your life.

Proverbs 3:9—“Honour the LORD with thy substance, and

with the firstfruits of all thine increase. So shall thy barns

be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with

new wine.”

3. Giving to Your Parents

Ephesians 6:1-2—Children, obey your parents in the

Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother;

which is the first commandment with promise;

Genesis 27:7— Bring me venison, and make me savoury

meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before

the LORD before my death.

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.” - Isaiah 8:16

When you give to your parents, you provoke blessings

from within them. Bishop Oyedepo shared his testimony

about when he started working; he used his first salary to

buy furniture for his grandmother. When she saw what he

had done, she blessed him and said you shall be great and

so is his story today.

However, our seed must be sowed willingly and joyfully

both to be acceptable and rewarding.

2 Corinthians 8:12—“For if there be first a willing mind,

it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not

according to that he hath not.

It is only what you give willing that will come back to

you.

2 Corinthians 9:7—“Every man according as he

purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or

of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

We must also understand that returns on our seed come

through diverse means that includes rain of divine ideas.

Malachi 3:10—“Bring ye all the tithes into the

storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and

prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will

not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a

blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive

it.

Isaiah 11:3

“And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear

of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his

eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears.”

BUSINESS BREAKTHROUGH

You shall breakthrough in the name of Jesus.

A business that will experience breakthrough will focus

on adding value to the people.

1 Kings 3:7-8—“And now, O LORD my God, thou hast

made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I

am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.

And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou

hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor

counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an

understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may

discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge

this thy so great a people?”

If you are not going to add value to the people and the

kingdom of God, forget about breakthrough.

Abraham enjoyed breakthrough because he showed

concern for people.

Genesis 14:14—“And when Abram heard that his

brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants,

born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and

pursued them unto Dan.”

Genesis 24:1—“And Abraham was old, and well stricken

in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”

Peter had breakthrough because he yielded his boat to Je-

sus for teaching of the people. He had toiled all night and

caught nothing but after he gave up his boat for use by

Jesus, he had a net-breaking amount of fish.

HOW DO YOU CONTACT BUSINESS

BREAKTHROUGH?

1. By Association

When your spiritual status changes by reason of your as-

sociation, everything including your business will change.

Many people have joined this commission for example

and their lives completely turned around. So shall it be for

you too in the name of Jesus.

1 Samuel 10:10—And when they came thither to the hill,

behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of

God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

This commission carries the spirit of noiseless break-

through. Therefore, your business shall experience break-

through in the name of Jesus. We heard a testimony of a

woman who joined this commission and her business of

packaging water gained global recognition. So shall your

story be as well in the name of Jesus.

2. By Simple Obedience

Obedience to every prophetic instruction is the cheapest

way to achieve breakthrough in every area of your life.

Deuteronomy 28:1—“And it shall come to pass, if thou

shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy

God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I

command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set

thee on high above all nations of the earth.”

HIV Negative As at December 2016, I was in terrible pains in my heart

and body. I was very weak and I couldn't stand for 5mins.

I could take nothing but water. I was drying and dying.

Then on 14th January, 2017, I fasted and prayed and

Bishop David Oyedepo’s face appeared to me and the

Holy Spirit told me to come to him. On 15th January, I

was in church. Suddenly, during the service, there was

calmness in my body and I received unusual strength.

From that time, I began to engage in praying Kingdom

advancement prayers.

Thereafter, I went for several blood tests: HIV, AIDS etc.

and the results were all negative. When the doctor

checked my result, she said, 'Nothing is wrong with you,

you can go.' I didn't take any drugs. Today, I am

absolutely free from HIV! I give God all the glory!”

Healed of Cancer via Soul-Winning! “I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2015. I

travelled out of the country for treatment. After the full

course of the treatment in January, the doctors saw lesions

in my lungs and breasts, which had gotten bigger when

compared with the previous scan. This confused all the

medical persons involved and I was told to start another

round of chemotherapy. I refused and told them that if the

first one did not work, then there is no chance that the

second round would work. Meanwhile, about 8 million

naira had already been spent treating me. So, I knew that

this was now between God and I.

I therefore engaged in Kingdom advancement prayers and

prayed all the 60 prayer points every day. I went for

outreach, sharing tracts and telling people to come and

meet the God Who healed me of cancer. Meanwhile, my

breast was burning with pain and I had reduced in weight

from 85kg to 59kg; yet, I did not give up. I told myself that

this is the last straw needed to break the camel’s back. I

hadn't been to canaanland this year, but I came to church

with two people for that service, with my faith fully

charged.

On Tuesday, March 15, 2016, I went for series of scans

and blood tests. To the glory of God, all the things which

were seen in the previous scan of February 6, 2016 were no

more there. My health is totally restored, I am healed.

Have you ever asked Jesus to come into your heart?

That is, are you BORN AGAIN?

If your answer is ‘NO’, or you are

not sure, please pray this prayer

with all sincerity and confidence!

Lord Jesus, I come to You today!

I am a sinner, I cannot help

Cleanse me with your precious

blood. Deliver me from sin and

Satan, to serve the Living God.

Today, Lord Jesus, I accept You

as my Lord, and my Saviour.

Thank You Jesus, for saving me!

Now I know, I am born again! I

am now a Child of God!

Please declare this to yourself this week:

As I maintain my covenant walk with God all through the year 2017, while others may be drying up, I shall be flourishing, because my case is different – Mal. 3:6-10/17-18/ Gen. 47:15-27 As I continue to serve God with joy and gladness, God shall make me to laugh, and all that hear shall laugh with me – Gen. 21:6/ Ps 35:27 As I serve the interest of the kingdom of God through-out the year 2017 and beyond, I shall never lack bread and water on my table–Exo. 23:25/Matt.6:31-33 Because I have made my choice to serve the Lord, no matter how many businesses collapse in this season of uncertainties, none of mine shall collapse – Exo. 9:1-7/ Mal. 3:18/ Mal. 4:1-2 By the light of life all through 2017, I shall never get to a point where I will not know the way forward – Exo. 10:21-23/ Ps 25:12-14/ Jn 8:12
