Salivary Glands Parts The salivary glands are made up

of 3 main parts: parotid gland, submandibular gland, and the sublingual gland.

The parotid gland produces 25% of the saliva and is located near the temporal bone.

The submandibular gland makes 70% of the saliva and is outside the oral cavity.

The sublingual gland produces 5% of saliva and is located below the mouth.
