Bless the Lord, O my soul: O Lord my

God, Thou art exceedingly great.

Thou hast put on praise and beauty:

and art clothed with Light as with a Garment -

Who stretches out the Heaven like a

pavilion; Who covers the higher rooms thereof with water; Who makes the clouds Thy Chariot; Who walks upon the wings of the winds;

Who makes Thy Angels spirits;: and

Thy Ministers a Burning Fire;

Who has founded the earth upon its

own bases - it shall not be moved forever and ever.

The deep like a garment is its clothing -

above the mountains shall the waters stand.

At Thy Rebuke they shall flee - at the

Voice of Thy thunder they shall fear.

The mountains ascend, and the plains

descend into the place, which Thou hast founded for them.

Thou hast set a boundary which they

shall not pass over; neither shall they return to cover the earth.

Thou send forth springs in the vales -

between the midst of the hills the waters shall pass.

All the beasts of the field shall drink -

the wild asses shall expect in their thirst.

That Thou may bring bread out of the

earth, and that wine may cheer the heart of mankind.

That he may make the face cheerful

with oil - and that bread may strengthen man’s heart.

The trees of the field shall be filled,

and the Cedars of Lebanon, which He hath planted - there the Sparrows shall make their nests - the highest of them is the house of the Heron.

The high hills are a refuge for the harts

He hath made the moon for seasons.

The sun knows its going down.

Thou hast appointed darkness, and it

The young lions roaring after their

The sun rises, and they are gathered

together: and they shall lie down in their dens.

Man shall go forth to his work, and to

his labour until the evening.

How great art Thy Works, O Lord!

Thou hast made all things in Wisdom - the earth is filled with Thy Riches.

So is this great sea, which stretches

wide its arms - there are creeping things without number - creatures small and great.

There the ships shall go - the sea

dragon which Thou hast formed - to play therein.

All expect of Thee that Thou grant

In the Portico of Solomon, there lay a

multitude of invalids. And midway into the Feast, Christ found a man lying there who had been paralysed for thirty-eight years. And speaking as the Master, He said to him: “Dost Thou want to be made well?” And in response, the invalid said to Him: “Sir, I hve no man to put me into the pool when the water is troubled.” He said to him: “Take up your pallet. Behold: you have been made well! Sin no more!” At the Intercessions of the Theotokos, O Lord, send down to us Thy Great Mercy.

I have spent all my livelihood on Physicians, and yet I have found no mercy.” And the Physician of souls and bodies said to him: “Take up Thy bed and walk. Proclaim My Power and Great Mercy to the ends of the Earth!”

Now and ever, and to the Ages of

ages.

How can we not marvel at Thy

Theandric Childbirth, O Most Reverend Maid? For while having had no spousal congress, All-Blameless One, Thou gave Birth to a Son Unfathered in the Flesh, Who had, unmothered, been Begotten of the Father before all Ages. He in no way underwent any change, intermingling or division; but He preserved each Nature’s distinct Identity in its totality. Therefore, O Virgin Mother and Sovereign Lady, Entreat Him for the Salvation of the souls of those Confessing Thee, in Orthodox manner, to be Theotokos.
