    Airbag Restraint System(if installed)

Airbag restraint system, whichbelongs to Supplemental RestraintSystem (SRS), is a supplementarydevice to seat belt. The airbagrestraint system provides additionalprotection for the head and the chest

of the drivers and passengers toreduce injury or death in an accidentof head-on collision.

The airbag restraint system, which is acomponent of the whole passive safetyprotection system of a car, cannotsubstitute the seat belt. Please note thatonly when working together with the

seat belt, the airbag restraint system canprovide the maximum protection. Therefore, for the safety of you and yourfamily, please pay attention to “notes”and “friend tips” in this section.

    FRIENDLY TIPS

    ● Always wear seat belt whiledriving!

    ● Please maintain correct sittingposition so that the seat belt andsafety and the airbag restraintsystem may provide the maximumprotection!

    ● For a child, the back row seat is a

safety position!● Never try to remove or install safety

    bag components by yourself!

    Triggering condition of airbag restraint

Triggering condition of airbag restraint isas follows: In the case of a severeaccident of head-on collision, the safety

air bag system will be triggered. In thcase of a special collision accident, thair bag system might also be triggered.

In the case of slight head-on collision

side-on collision, rear-end collision oturnover, the air bag system will not betriggered usually. In these cases, thdrivers and passengers are protected bseat belt.

A crucial factor to trigger the airbarestraint system is as followsDeceleration curve generated by collisioand obtained by ECU and set value ar

compared and judged in an all-arounway. If the car deceleration signagenerated and detected by collision ilower than reference value preset in ECUthe safety air bag will not be triggeredalthough the car might have beedeformed severely in an accident.

How the front side air bag works

In the case of a medium or severehead-on collision accident, the sensorwill detect dramatic deceleration of thecar and send signal to the control deviceto inflate the front air bag immediately.

In the case of head-on collision, the seatbelt may help fix the lower part of yourbody and your main body to keep youwhere you are. That is, the air bag

provides an air cushion to stable andprotect your head and chest.

As both air bags use the same sensor, they are usually inflated at the sametime. However, only one air bag isinflated sometimes.

The reason might be that collisionextension is an edge value or a criticalvalue which causes air bag inflation. Atthis time, the seat belt will provide mainprotection function while the air bag onlyprovides very limited auxiliary protection. At this time, the seat belt will providemain protection function while the airbag only provides very limited auxiliaryprotection.

The front air bag will be dischargeimmediately after being inflated. In thiway, it will not affect the driver’s vision oability to control the steering wheel oother control devices.

The air bag can be inflated withifractions of a second to providadditional protection for the driver anthe passengers in an accident.

The air bag gives out a big sound whebeing inflated but does not cause injurusually (tinnitus or temporary deafnesmight be caused, which, however, wi

recover soon). After collision, you mighsee fog-like objects, which are actuallpowder on the surface of the air bag Although the powder is non-toxicpassengers contracted with respiratordiseases might feel a temporardiscomfort. In this case, please leavthe car as soon as possible if it iallowed by traffic safety.
