BYOD - Setting up Email Access on your Android mobile device This document provides step-by-step instructions for setting up corporate account on your Android mobile device. Note: PAGE 1 The TruMobi email application is a Cognizant application. Please be sure to comply with the Cognizant IT and workplace acceptable use policy while using this application. In order to strengthen the security of your mobile device, when the TruMobi application is installed, you will be asked to update your device password. You will need to use a medium/high security level pattern/passcode. Never use your TruMobi email application for personal use. Use is monitored for system administration, to identify or investigate inappropriate access and use, and for other business purposes, as permitted by law. Be sure to close the TruMobi email application before allowing anyone else to use your mobile device. If you backup and restore your mobile device or restore to a different mobile device, you will have to reinstall the TruMobi email application. The application will only operate on an authorized device. If your mobile device is lost or stolen or if you believe your device has been compromised by a virus or other malicious software, you must report it immediately by raising a ticket with GSD support. Cognizant may choose to remove the TruMobi email application and your associated application data at its sole discretion. However, this should not impact any other applications or data residing on your mobile device. Support: This guide is for setting up email access on Android versions 4.0 and above. You need to have TruHub installed on your mobile device in order to use the TruMobi application. TruHub must remain on your device. Uninstalling TruHub will wipe out the entire TruMobi Connect app data. Getting ready to set up

Step 1 Step 2If you already have Cognizant email configured on your Android device, please remove that email profile before configuring TruMobi Connect on the same device.

Go to: Settings > Accounts > select acount > Remove

• Go to: Settings > Security > Device administration

Enable "Unknown Sources”

• Enable Auto-sync Go to: Settings > Accounts > Auto-sync

Installing & Registering TruMobi Connect

Step 3 Step 4Go to the Launchpad URL – https://m1c.cognizant.com from your mobile device browser. Tap Install to download the TruHub client app.

The TruHub client app will be downloaded. Once done, locate the TruHub client app within your Downloads folder from the notificationbar and complete the installation.

Step 5Login using your Cognizant credentials.

Note: CTS prefix is not required.

Step 6Install TruMobi Connect listed under Featured Apps in Home screen.

Step 7TruMobi Connect App will be downloaded. Once done, complete the installation and open the app.

Once installed, place TruMobi Connect in the Favorites Tray for easy access.

Step 8Register with TruMobi Connect, using your Cognizant credentials.

Note: CTS prefix is not required.

Tap OK.Step 9Once your request is submitted, a message with current request status will be displayed and additional request information will be sent to the Cognizant mailbox configuredon your PC.

A request will be automatically sent to the Administrator to provide email access on your mobile device.

Tap OK in the Remote security administration pop-up.

On receiving the approval mail, open TruMobi Connect. Your certificate will be downloaded.

Step 11Choose account settings options and tap Done.

Step 12Tap on Email app icon to access your mailbox.

Setup related

This issue is with internet connectivity and can be resolved by trying again once the internet connection is up. It could also be due to client side firewall restrictions. Request you to try your first-time email setup on Home Wi-Fi / Public Hotspot / Carrier network.

1. I am unable to download TruHub client application (or) I am facing problems while trying to download the client application from m1c portal?

No, you need not change the password in TruMobi Connect after having changed your network password.2. I changed my Cognizant network password. Do I need to change the password on TruMobi Connect?

Yes. Type the first three letters of the search keyword to find results.3. Is it possible to lookup contacts in the exchange server?

The entire TruMobi Connect app data will be wiped and you will be prompted to register again.4. What happens when I clear the app data?

Ensure you are connected to any open network such as home Wi-Fi / Public Hotspot / Carrier network to receive the push notification from GCM. Our Corporate / Guest network blocks this due to firewall restrictions.

1. Nothing happens on clicking the enroll button in TruHub client. As a result I am not able to proceed further.

TruMobi Connect supports Android versions 4.0 and above.1. Which Android versions supported by TruMobi Connect?

Go to: Contacts app inside TruMobi connect > Settings > enable Sync corporate into native2. How do I to sync all my corporate contacts into my native contact app ?

We have an approval process towards the email requests and once approved, you will get a mail on your Cognizant mailbox. Please follow the steps in the approvalmail to configure TruMobi Connect.

3. I submitted a request for email access via TruMobi Connect and got a mail stating that the request for setting it up is pending with Admin.

Error messages

You have received the message because you have tried to access the link (https://m1c.cognizant.com) from your desktop browser.Please try the link from your Android mobile device.

1. I am getting the message “You don’t have access to Admin Portal. Kindly contact your Administrator.” When I access the link provided in the email.

We have an approval process towards the email requests and once approved, you will get a mail on your Cognizant mailbox. Once you receive the approval mail,open TruMobi Connect, your certificate will be downloaded and follow the next steps thereafter.

2. I am getting a message ‘Request to access corporate email is submitted. On approval you will be notified via email’ when I log in to TruMobi Connect.

Uninstalling TruHub

• Go to: Settings > Security > Device administration > Device administrators. • Disable the TruHub client. • Uninstall the TruHub client app.
