    17. ALL BACKFILL USED IN TRENCHES EXCAVATED IN EXISTING OR PROPOSED ROADWAYS SHALL BE PLACED IN MAXIMUM6-INCH LIFTS AND COMPACTED BY MEANS OF A MECHANICAL COMPACTOR BETWEEN LIFTS.

    18. WHEN BACKFILLING AROUND PROPOSED OR EXISTING STRUCTURES, MATERIAL SHALL BE PLACED IN MAXIMUM 6-INCH LIFTSAND COMPACTED BY MEANS OF A MECHANICAL COMPACTOR BETWEEN LIFTS.

    19. ALL UTILITY WORK INVOLVING CONNECTIONS TO EXISTING SYSTEMS SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE ENGINEER ANDTHE UTILITY OWNER. NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AND THE UTILITY OWNER 72 HOURS BEFORE EACH AND EVERY CONNECTIONTO EXISTING SYSTEMS IS MADE.
