Its seeks to cultivate a deeper relationship with God and with one another. Christmas Gift for Jesus Advent services. Christmas Carols. Gift giving. Sugar Cookies. Holiday movies. And FAMILY. All these evoke dewy-eyed idealism, but as we enter the holiday season, it is important to remember that although we're sur- rounded by celebration, not everyone enjoys a wonderful family. Many people struggle during the holidays; some are overcome with great sad- ness remembering loved ones who are not with them, others have no gifts under their trees, and many folks have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by grief, loneliness, or regret. As we make holiday plans, let's first find comfort and strength in the love of our Heavenly Father, remembering 2 Corinthians 1:3-6: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.” And then, let's ask Him to show us who needs His touch and make that our gift to Jesus this Christ- mas. “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” Matt. 25:40 Finally, rejoice in your obedience as you remember that our Lord, the ULTIMATE GIFT-GIVER, said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Christmas Gift for Jesus

Advent services. Christmas Carols. Gift giving. Sugar Cookies. Holiday

movies. And FAMILY. All these evoke dewy-eyed idealism, but as we enter

the holiday season, it is important to remember that although we're sur-

rounded by celebration, not everyone enjoys a wonderful family. Many

people struggle during the holidays; some are overcome with great sad-

ness remembering loved ones who are not with them, others have no gifts

under their trees, and many folks have no one to spend these times with

and are besieged by grief, loneliness, or regret.

As we make holiday plans, let's first find comfort and strength in the love of

our Heavenly Father, remembering 2 Corinthians 1:3-6: “Praise be to the

God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and

the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can

comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received

from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow

over into our lives, so also through Christ our

comfort overflows.”

And then, let's ask Him to show us who needs His

touch and make that our gift to Jesus this Christ-

mas. “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of

the least of these my brethren, you have done it

unto me.” Matt. 25:40

Finally, rejoice in your obedience as you remember that our Lord, the

ULTIMATE GIFT-GIVER, said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

"Take off your scarf also,” ordered the guard. I had already handed over my coat, hat and handbag, been through security and had a body scan. Security was tight at the Parliament building in Ottawa. However, just a week after our visit, a gunman managed to breach the security checks and cause havoc. The need to pray for Canada and the na-tions is urgent.

The mission of the Canadian National House of Prayer (www.nhop.ca) is to specifically pray for the government of Canada. ASK Network is partnering with Rob and Fran Parker, Directors of NHOP, as they encourage the church to pray for the government and the nation. Rob is sharing the ASK vision as he travels throughout Canada and a joint conference is planned for 2015.

Sue Huston, a prayer missionary with NHOP, is sensing God’s call to be the ASK Network Director for Canada. In December, Sue is joining Graeme and me in Florida to pray through this decision and to familiarize herself with the ASK vision.

Canada was established on God’s word. The motto of Canada is “He shall have dominion from sea to sea” (Psalm 72:8). Part of the prophetic word for ASK in Canada is that “There will be much crisscrossing of the nation. We are walking in the legacy of prayer from former generations, and God will do a quick work”. We are seeing these things happen.

After the shooting outside of Parliament Prime Minister Stephen Harper said, “We will not be intimidated.” Chuck Pierce also had a similar word for Canada, ”It’s not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

Join us in praying the Spirit will lead the work of ASK in Canada. Ask that He continue to raise up leaders and bless relationships. Ask for provision for physical needs, and for Graeme and I to have wisdom and vision.

Getting to Know our National Teams

New Nations Team: Patti Acquaviva, leader; Carole Dale, Karma Malone

God's has answered our prayers to bring together a Nations Team for ASK USA!

By stepping into this place of leadership, Patti Acquaviva PA (team leader), Carole Dale TN, and Karma Malone AL are answering His call.

Please pray for this new team as they join together in prayer to wait on the Lord, listen and align them-selves with His Kingdom purpose.

We live in a nation comprised of many nations. We join our Lord Jesus in the Psalm 2:8 mandate, "Ask of Me and I will make nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possessions." John 3:16 “For God who so loved the world and He gave His one and only Son..” Isaiah 65:1 “I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me…”

Consider the nations God has placed in your community? Ask God for these neighbors to be brought into His Kingdom.

Psalm 67:3 "May the peoples praise You O Lord, may all the peoples praise You."

The Nations Team finds it a great privilege to serve the Lord and you, ASK USA, in this place of ministry.

A Note From Cheryl

As I was reading Ephesians 1 beginning at verse fifteen in the NLT, my heart began overflowing like Paul’s and praise spilled forth glorifying our Father for you, our precious ASK.USA Family. I can’t help myself! Your faithfulness in ASKing for the nations of this world brings such gladness to my heart and thanksgiving to my lips. THANK YOU! Your ASKng, participa-tion, and support all bring glory to His Name and help us continue to plant, water and watch the seeds of ASKing take root and multiply. What joy there is to share the thrill of asking Father God with you and with His Son.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
