1 Requirements This document outlines how to install the CorelDRAW (X8) Plug-In for Roland CutStudio with Windows. Requirements

This document outlines how to install the CorelDRAW (X8) Plug-In for Roland CutStudio with Windows. You will need

to download and install CorelDRAW X8 before you begin the steps outlined below. You will also need to log into

your computer as an “Admin”.

Instructions

1. Go to the Roland DGA Support Site and download the “CutStudio CorelDRAW Plugin for Windows Version 3.10”

zip file.

2. Save the zip file to your desktop and extract the files.

3. Copy all the files from the downloaded and extracted folder and paste the files to the following directory:

“C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8\Draw\GMS”.

o Important! If you do not see the folder “GMS” you must “unhide” it. See the steps below. o

Windows 7

Go to “Start – Computer” and click the “ALT” button show the hidden toolbar.

Go to “Tools – Folder Options…”.

Click on the “View” tab and enable the option “Show hidden files, folders, and

drives”.

Click “Apply” then “Okay” to save your changes.

o Windows 8.1 or 10

Go to “Start – Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - File Explorer

Options”.

Click on the “View” tab and enable the option “Show hidden files, folders, and

drives”. Click “Apply” then “Okay” to save your changes. o If you still do not see the GMS

folder after unhiding it, please create the folder in the directory listed above and name it

“GMS”.

4. Launch CorelDRAW X8 and create a new document. Go to “Tools - Customization”.

5. Go to “Command” and from the dropdown menu select “Macros”.

6. Highlight “ThisMacroStorage.ShowCutStudioPlugIn” and then click on the “Appearance” tab.

7. Click on “Browse” and find the icon file named “CutStudioPlugIn.ico” that you just copied to the GMS folder.

8. Select the CutStudioPlugIn.ico file and click “ Open ” .

9. Drag the “ThisMacroStorage.ShowCutStudioPlugin” to the toolbar. Then click “OK”.

10. Create your design and when you are ready to output to CutStudio, click the plug-in icon in the toolbar.

11. Make your selections and click the “CutStudio” icon.

12. The desired output will now appear in CutStudio. Select the “Cutting” icon when you are ready to send the cut

file to your cutter.
