OUTDOOR CLIMATE CONTROL CABINET

An outdoor climate control cabinet is intended for placement and independent operation

of radioelectronic, telecommunication and any other equipment that needs to be protected from harsh environments. Heat and cooling systems as well as power supply equipment can be mounted inside the cabinet. The cabinet is mounted outdoors. The cabinet design makes it possible to flexibly arrange the mounted equipment and gives easy access to it. The mounted equipment can operate at a wide range of environmental temperatures (-50÷+45°С), at low noise level and with high operational reliability. An easy-to-assemble design of the cabinet body enables its on-site assembling with a high protection level and efficient use of the cabinet space.

Nondemountable part - all-welded frame, all other elements of the cabinet (side plates, base, doors and roof) are easily dismountable which makes the transportation and assembling of equipment more convenient. The design of the cabinet provides for reliable protection from malicious damages and emergency cases.

The equipment inside the cabinet can be mounted both on 19” profiles with a standard perforation and a mounting panel.

The cabinet is leak proof. The cabinet fastening makes it wind-resilient provided wind speed is up to 30 m/sec. Dimensions: 705х1100х1890 mm. Weight (without conditioner): - 250 kg. Useful

height - 32U. The heat released by the equipment is removed with a help of the conditioner mounted

on the telecommunication section door. In case a large number of equipment items are mounted there is a possibility to grow the

cabinet using modules with the conditioner placed on an additional base supplied from a three-phase network. If the modular growth takes place the telecommunication equipment

and the switch section is placed inside one cabinet, and the power supply section – inside the other.

Dimensions of two cabinets - 1750х1100х1890 mm. Weight (without conditioner) - 490 kg.

Information about Design and Structural Parts of the Cabinet

Dimensions – depending on the equipment being mounted

Cabinet weight – depending on the equipment being mounted

Cabinet heat-insulating layer – material PENOPLEX 35 with thickness of 30 mm

Material of the nondemountable part, base, doors and casing – cold-rolled steel with thickness of 2.0 mm

Cabinet coating - impact-proof powder-polymer mixture intended for outdoor operation.

Cabinet colour variants – upon customer’s request

Protection class – IP55 Base. The base is intended to facilitate the cabinet mounting on foundation, connect

power and line cable to it, protect from snow drifts and floodings. The base height is 300 mm. To provide access inside the base during the mounting and maintenance of the equipment there are two dismountable plug fittings at the front and at the back.

All-welded frame. The frame provides the desired rigidity and leak resistance of the structure, it is the main bearing element to mount all other parts of the cabinet. Material – cold-rolled steel with thickness of 2.0 mm.

Cabinet roof. The roof protects the cabinet from direct sunbeams, snow and rain. The roof is fastened on the inside of the cabinet.

Cabinet doors. The doors contain heat-insulating layer (for protection from ingress of moisture and overcooling), have a panel to protect the heat-insulating layer from inside and from mechanical effects and sun radiation from outside. The doors are locked with a help of a three round bolt lock. The doors have own filtering ventilation system enabling to avoid the cabinet overheating in case of conditioner failure. The filtering ventilation system has a thermostat. Power-line supply – 220V/50Hz (in case of power line emergency shutdown – from accumulator 48 V).

Side plates. The plates contain the heat-insulating layer (to protect the cabinet room from the ingress of moisture and overcooling), have a panel to protect the heat-insulating layer from inside and from mechanical effects and sun radiation from outside. With a view to reduce the influence of sun radiation the panels provide for natural air convection. The panels are dismounted from inside the cabinet.

Cabinet Sections Switch section A heat insulated section having access to it from the side of one of its doors to form the

switching field using terminal blocks of the following types: KRONE, LSA РROFIL. There are guideways to place the terminal blocks of capacity 1200 pairs having all blocks to fasten inserted cables, terminal blocks, and route switching wires. Polyamide cable inlets are leak proof and located on a lower base of the cabinet. There is a brush cable inlet between the switch section and telecommunication equipment section. The switch section has an earth bus. The section elements are earthed by connecting earthing cables which go from the elements to the cabinet earth bus. The switch section lock has an individual key.

Telecommunication section A heat insulated section having access to it from the side of one of its doors is intended

for the placement of telecommunication equipment. There is a brush cable inlet between the switch section and telecommunication equipment section. Cable inlets are leak proof and located on a lower base of the cabinet. The telecommunication section also has an earthing system. The section elements are earthed by connecting earthing cables which go from the elements to the common earth bus. The section lock has an individual key. There is a possibility to mount power supply systems, conditioning system, ventilation and heating system and sensors needed to monitor temperature rate of the cabinet, thermostats and control elements.

Power Supply System The cabinet (a single structure) has a power supply system with accumulator batteries, a

power supply system inlet, an energy meter, electric cable switching elements located in the telecommunication section.

The cabinet (a modular structure) has a power supply system with accumulator batteries, a power supply system inlet, an energy meter, electric cable switching elements located in the power supply block, whereas the telecommunication equipment is placed in the telecommunication block. Power supply inlets are leak proof and located on the cabinet bottom.

Physical Parameter Monitoring and Remote Control System The system includes a system module of type 5500.824 and door opening sensors

5500.530, temperature sensors 5500.500 a smoke detector sensor (fire detecting sensor) 5500.560 manufactured by SkyControl.

The physical parameter monitoring and control is carried out continuously and automatically, readings are stored in the system unit and can be remotely examined by an operator via the Internet or local area network.
