TERMINATION PENALTYAbility to apply a penalty OC&C when a circuit is terminated early
www.cdg.ws 48
This is not new functionalityCalc Rate displayed with V53, but hard coded at ‘50.00’
Ability to specify the Calc Rate is new & licensees will have with V54
TERMINATION PENALTY
ADTI (discount tariff screen)
Termination Calc MethodN = no early termination penalty
1 = create termination penalty based on current amount billed
Calc RateWhen Method = 1, Calc Rate is a percentage and must be 0 – 100
Method ‘1’Penalty = (current ACKU amount / 30) x number of days remaining in plan x rate%
360 day (1 year) limit when in Renew status

Outing or Deleting a circuit
ASPL’s Create OCC is P
ASPL’s Plan ID must be populated
ASPL’s Plan End Date has changed More current than the original Plan End Date
Termination Penalties are calculated after Minimum Billing Charges, as discussed in 2013
ACKU must be applicable to the plan (Plan Level)
Only applicable to ASPL & ACFEDSPL

SHORTAGE PENALTYAbility to apply a penalty OC&C when the minimum quantity of circuits are not present
www.cdg.ws 58
SHORTAGE PENALTY
ADTI (discount tariff screen)
Maximum Threshold%Number of circuits allowed on plan
Minimum Threshold%Number of circuits that must be present for the plan to remain active
Grace PeriodThe number of days the discount will continue to apply once it has fallen out of compliance
Shortage Calc MethodN = no shortage penalty
1 = create shortage penalty based on current amount billed
M = create shortage penalty based on a monthly flat rated amount
Calc RateWhen Method = 1, Calc Rate is a percentage and must be 0 – 100
When Method = M, Calc Rate is a dollar amount
59www.cdg.ws
ADAI (discount agreement screen)
SHORTAGE PENALTY
60www.cdg.ws
Required QuantityNumber necessary for plan to be active
Used in conjunction with Equivalent
Applicable to volume related plans (ADTI Plan Type V & B)
EquivalentTells how circuits are counted
Q(uantity), V(oice Grade), (DS)1, DS(3)
Example: If Required Quantity = 1 and Equivalent = 1, then a count of 24 voice grade circuits is needed. This could be one DS1 circuit or 24 Voice Grade circuits.
Actual QuantityUpdated by ACPLN100 for volume related plans
SHORTAGE PENALTY
61www.cdg.ws
Max% & Min%Displayed from ADTI
Overage Qty & Shortage QtyCalculated based on Required Quantity and Max% & Min%
Auto Decrease Upon PenaltyY to automatically update the Required Quantity after shortage penalties are generated.
New Required Quantity = Actual Quantity x inverse of Minimum Threshold%
Example: Required Quantity = 100, Min% = 90, Actual Quantity = 89
89 x 110% = 97.9 (round up) 98 is the new Required Quantity
N to not automatically update the Required Quantity
Applicable to volume related plans (ADTI Plan Type V & B)
Updated in ACPLN200
SHORTAGE PENALTY

How are shortage liability penalties created?
Find Actual Quantity
ACPLN100 – Listing of Volume Related Plans
Finds all volume related plans (ADTI Plan Type = V or B)
Finds all non-disconnected circuits with a volume related plan
Accumulates ASPL-2 VG Equivalent values
Updates ADAI Actual Quantity by using accumulated VG equivalents
When ADAI Equivalent = Q, set to circuit count
When ADAI Equivalent = V, set to actual count
When ADAI Equivalent = 1, set to actual count/24
When ADAI Equivalent = 3, set to actual count/672
Generates text and csv outputs
SHORTAGE PENALTY
63www.cdg.ws
How are shortage liability penalties created?
Find the circuits the caused the shortage
ACPLN110 – Circuit Listing for Volume Related Plans
Finds all volume related plans that have not terminated
ADTI Plan Type = V or B
ADAI Termination Date = 00/00/0000
Finds all circuits with a volume related plan
Shows plans that are out of compliance and all circuits associated with the plan ID
ASPL-2 Status is set to ‘S’ and Status Date set to the report run date
Generates text and csv outputs
SHORTAGE PENALTY

How are shortage liability penalties created?Create the shortage penalties
ACPLN200 – Shortage Penalty OC&C Report
Utilize the information gathered from ACPLN110
When Method = ‘1’ Process the number of disconnected circuits until you reach the Shortage Quantity
Create AOCC with circuit level details
Penalty = current ACKU amount x rate%
This is not new functionality
Calc Rate was previously hard coded at ‘50.00’
Ability to specify the Calc Rate was new with V53
When Method = ‘M’Create ATRN
Penalty = number of lines short x rate
New functionality with V53
