Cacti provides a fast poller, advanced graph templating, multiple data acquisition methods, and user management features out of the box. All of this is wrapped in an intuitive, easy to use interface that makes sense for LAN-sized installations up to complex networks with hundreds of devices. Requirements

CACTI requires that the following software is installed on your system.

• RRDTool 1.0.49 or 1.2.x or greater

• MySQL 4.1.x or 5.x or greater

• PHP 4.3.6 or greater, 5.x greater highly recommended for advanced features

• A Web Server e.g. Apache or IIS

Note: Devices should support SMNP (Simple Network Management Protocol)

1. Download CACTI installer in this site

www.cacti.net/downloads/packages/Windows/Cacti-0.8.8a.exe.

2. Install the Cacti-0.8.8a.exe in the computer:

3. Set the Cacti task user/pass

Make sure to set the appropriate username and password for the Cacti scheduled task.

If you plan on using WMI to query remote servers, the Cacti task account will be used

for remote authentication.

Press Start and click Control Panel.

Click Schedules Tasks.

Click Cacti.

Click Set password. Fill-up the Password and Confirm password. Press OK. Press OK.

4. Set the PHP Timezone

Make sure to validate/set the date.timezone in C:\PHP\php.ini. The web server service

needs to be restarted after making this change.

5. Restart the computer.

6. Open any web browser and type http://localhost/cacti/ in the web address field.

Default User & Password:

User Name: admin

Password : cactipw

7. Click Create Devices for Network.

8. Click Add.

9. Follow the setting. Then click Create.

10. Click Create Graphs for this Host.
