Cadenza CD-C18 pH Tolerance

This data shows the pH stability using the Cadenza stationary phase. In aqueous eluants of acid and alkali with no organic solvent, we measured the rate of change in column durability after a constant period of exposure. Conven-tional ODS columns showed a huge change in column life with acidic and al-kali eluants. The cause of this is hydro-lytic degradation of the ODS and end‐capping functional groups. The pH used in the experiment was outside that toler-ated by conventional columns.

Cadenza CD‐C18, however, can handle these severe conditions. There is little change in retention or binding strength under these conditions. This is one of many points proving the power of polymeric end‐capping, the most superior stationery phase design technology.
