TSR Riders Champs - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.TSR In Hand Champs - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSr In Hand Card will qualify

in any In Hand Class. Handlers must have their cards signed in the ring by the judge or steward, cards are available FrEE from the TSr website.

BLUE CHIP & IDHS (GB) £2,000 CHALLENGEThis Show is a Qualifier for the Blue Chip and IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge.

“The highest placed horse (not already qualified) in each of the Classes will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) Championship, which will be held at the

IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show.nB: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or

number of classes won, placed in or entered.Each Qualifier will receive a rosette and a voucher for £10 from Blue Chip. In the Final, the

Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money plus a Blue Chip rug, the reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each.

In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred will receive a Trophy and £100 and the highest placed 15.2hh and under will receive a Trophy and £50”.

SOUTH WEST PONY ASSOCIATION - This show is a qualifier for the South west Pony Champi-onships to be held on 3-6 September 2015, at The David Broome Event Centre, Crick, Gwent.

To qualify for the championships: 1. Enter one of the qualifying classes. 2. Be one of the two highest placed exhibits not already qualified within the first four and receive a qualification card signed in the ring. 3. Complete the entry form on the qualification card. 4. return the card to together with any registration fees within 14 days of this show.Please Note: registration fee for 2015 is £25 to include all members of the family and equines owned by the family.

SAfETy PoLICy STATEMENTThe Society’s General Policy is as follows:To conduct the Society’s undertaking in such a way as to ensure so far as reasonably practica-ble, that persons who may be affected by its activities are not exposed to risks to their Health and Safety.To bring to the notice of all Exhibitors, retailers, Caterers and their Agents and Employees their duty to co-operate with the Society to ensure that this Policy is effective and to offer all necessary assistance to ensure the Health and Safety at the Show of all Exhibitors and others on the Society’s Showground.It is incumbent upon those participating or attending the Show before, during and after the Show to prevent accidents and to assist the Society in their aims by preventing accidents and abiding by the instructions given by the officials and Stewards of the Show. To achieve these aims, appropriate risk assessments will be carried out for the individual exhibitors and the Society’s activities.

Emergency ProcedureThese instructions should be adhered to in the event of a major incident occurring on the Showground during Show period.i) The Safety officer should be contacted immediately by public address or radio.ii) The Major Incident Control point will be the Secretary’s office.iii) First Aid sites are located on the Show Field. If required contact should be made with the nearest Paramedic personnel.iv) Traffic and Gate Stewards will assist Emergency vehicles to the scene of the incident. v) Casualty Centre has been identified as the Sponsors Pavilionvi) Should total evacuation of the Showground be required the Safety officer will enlist the help of all Stewards to ensure that this is done in an orderly fashion via the Main Entrances.reporting of Injuries and Dangerous occurrences (riddor)Any accident or incident must be reported to the Show Safety officer immediately. The Safety officer will investigate all incidents and liaise with the appropriate enforcing authority and show organisers. All accidents will be recorded in the Society’s accident book.

Responsibilities for Health and SafetyThe Society has overall responsibility for all aspects of Health and Safety and shall require everybody under its control to be familiar with regulations, codes of practice and the society’s procedure for ensuring the safe working conditions on the Society’s premises.

Safety Advisory CommitteeThe Safety Advisory Committee shall be responsible for:i) Providing guidance and advice on health and safety matters ii) Liaising with all statutory and external authorities and other appropriate organisations iii) Investigating and recording all accidents iv) Briefing and training all officials and stewards on the emergency procedure prior to show dayThe Safety officer shall co-ordinate health and safety and take charge of emergency and major incidents in the Showground.

organisers, Trade Stand Personnel, Contractorsorganisers, Trade Stand Personnel, Contractors and their respective employees as well as Estate owners and their Agents are responsible for ensuring that:i) Everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure the Health Safety and welfare of those attending the Show. ii) They conduct themselves, so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk. iii) The access to and egress from the site is safe and unobstructed Members of the Public and Competitors are equally responsible for ensuring that they do not put other persons at risk and that they co-operate with the organisers in compliance with Health and Safety legislation.

Health and Safety Arrangementsa) Electricity. The position and routes of overhead, underground and temporary electrical cables and distribution systems will be agreed, evidence of recent examination and test certificates for electrical installations and apparatus will be obtained for show ground installations and from individual exhibitors; earthing and earth leakage protection will be provided as necessary. b) Generators must be positioned well clear of tentage and any other flammable materials. c) Liquid Petroleum Gas. Trade Stand personnel and Caterers with LPG appliances should have these examined and tested by a competent person. d) Machinery should only be used by competent people; loaned equipment should be fully serviceable. Plant and machinery should only be operated after adequate safety precautions have been taken. Chainsaw operators should be correctly clothed and equipped. Chains should be of adequate strength and attached to the towing tractor below the axle. e) Animals. routes used by Horses, Public and Vehicles will, as far as possible, be kept separate. Horses are not allowed into the Trade Stand and Catering areas. Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times and children must be supervised by an adult. f ) Safety Information. warning notices and signs are prominently displayed. g) Toilet and washing Facilities. Adequate provision has been made for the expected number of visitors. h) Food Hygiene. Caterers are responsible for complying with Local Authority Environmental Health Department Legislation/Food safety act. i) Licensing for Alcoholic refreshment. Licences are held for alcohol sale.

If any person attending a Show fails to comply with the reasonable requirements relating to Health and Safety at the Show, then the

Society will have the right to eject that person from the Show. If Society officials fail to take adequate action where a breach comes to their notice, then

they could perhaps find themselves, albeit unwillingly, in the position of condoning a breach of the regulations. All persons attending the Show whether they be officials Competitors or Members of the Public must comply with

the Health and Safety regulations.

SPECIAL REGULATIoNS APPLyING To ALL HoRSE ENTRIESAny person riding a horse anywhere on the showground is required to:

1. wear a hard hat of a standard approved by their appropriate governing body and ensure that the chin strap is fastened.

2. no horse is to be ridden or led through the showground.

3. Horses must remain in the horse section, horse walks and judging areas only.

4. no horse should be led or ridden in any other areas of the showground.

5. Stallions/colts may not be led nor ridden by any Junior who has not attained their 14th birthday by 1st January in the current year in any class affiliated to Ponies Association (uk).

6. The onus is on every rider who suffers a fall, or anybody who suffers an injury whilst on the showground, to report the fall/injury to the Secretary.

7. no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorized agent or rider to complete or be prepared to complete in any showjumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury.

Evans, Brongenau Hall, Llandre, Capel Bangor, will be awarded to Best Exhibitor of opposite sex to Special 1Special 3. The Heys Moss Rose Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by Mrs H.V. williams, Parc Carnedd, rhydlewis will be awarded to the Best Filly, two years old and under, exhibited in the Shire Horse SectionSpecial 3B. The Shire Horse Society offer a Silver Spoon and Rosette for the Best Mare or Filly in the Shire Classes. The winning animal must be registered in the Stud Book or Grade B register. If not already a member, the winner of the Special Prize must become a member of the SHS. no animal is eligible to take more than one Silver Spoon during one year. The SHS show being excepted. (The winning animal must be free from disease).Special 3A. Perpetual Challenge Cup presented by Mr Barry Mathews, for the best Shire Horse bred and registered in Ceredigion, and shown by an exhibitor residing in Ceredigion.Special 3C The Rheidol Shires Perpetual Challenge Cup presented by Mr & Mrs Barry Matthews, rheidol Shires, Aberffrwd, Aberystwyth for the best Young Handler in the Shire Section.

The National Welsh “Brightwells Sec A In-Hand” Championship Both the champion and reserve champion section A will qualify for this championship. In the event of either having previously qualified then the qualification will pass to the 2nd reserve in the championship.Highest placed geldings in classes 12 and 13 qualify for the national welsh Sarum Invest-ments Ltd Gelding Championship.

Brood Mare PremiumsThe Society offers Brood Mare Premiums at selected affiliated shows, but premiums will only be awarded if there are a minimum of three mares forward per class. The premium takes the form of a Service Vouchers, the value of which is determined from time to time by the Society, awarded at the Judge’s discretion to their selection from the monetary prize winners, to be used towards the cost of covering the mare by any SHB (GB) Graded Stallion or Life Approved Premium Stallion that is properly registered for the year of covering. The Service Voucher may be used in either of the two years following the year of that award. The owner must be, or became, a fully paid up member of SHB (GB) in order to be eligible for the award. no mare shall take more than one award per year.In relation to hardwear – competitiors must wear a skull cap or hat and safety harness according to the current approved BSI or European Standard at all times. “Horse First” Ridden Sport Horse Classes – 2016SHB (GB) are pleased to announce the sponsoring of the ridden Sport Horse Classes by Horse First with the championship being held at the Hickstead Derby Meeting, (The All Eng-land Show Jumping Course) in June 2016. These classes will be for 4 yro, 5yro & 6yro & over, the classes will be run separately for each group. Rules for the classes will be as attachedridden Sport Horse Classes General a) These classes are for young athletic horses that have the confrontation and movement to go to the top of their sphere. b) All horses must exceed 148cm(14.2hh approx). c) riders must have proof of horses age (ie registration document) & owners & riders must be members of SHB(GB). d) All ages date fron 1st January, e.g. a foal becomes a yearling on the first day of January following that of its birth. e) Any rider can present up to three horses in each class. f ) Horses come into ring individually and give a short ridden display of walk, trot and canter, approx 1 minute, to be awarded marks out of a possible 20. Then proceed straight into the jumping phase, to be awarded marks out of a possible 10 per fence. g) All horses, unless eliminated are required to come back without saddles, for confirmation assessment to be awarded marks our of a possible 50. h) Shows must select Sport Horse Judges from the Sport Horse Panel. i) All entries in Sport Horse Classes must be on the Society’s Basic Identity re cord or Stud Book. This show is a qualifier for the Victoria Food Company open Private Driving Championship Qualifier. The Champion will qualifier for the Grand Final to be held

on Sunday 13th September 2015 at The Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon, Somerset. In the event that the champion has already qualified then the reserve champion to qualify.

If the reserve has also qualified, the rosette to be awarded back to the champion. once qualifed, the horse, whip and vehicle may not be changed.

Special rosette awarded to the highest placed member of Dyfed Carriage Club in each class (proof of club badge to be shown).

Special 59 The President’s Perpetual Silver Challenge Cup, presented by the late Mr Arthur Johnson, will be awarded for the Best Dairy Cow in the Show.

The rules are as follows:1. Exhibits must be entered into the appropriate Herd Book.2. Rules and Regulations1. The aim of the society is to further and improve all Agricultural activities in the area.2. All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitors.3. The Committee reserve the right to themselves the power to withhold any of the prizes offered if, in the opinion of the Judges, the exhibits do not possess sufficient merit.4. The Society, its officers or servants, shall not be responsible to any persons whatsoever while upon the Society’s premises, or while entering or leaving the same, for any damage or loss, however caused to the property of any such person or for any injury, fatal or otherwise, to any such person5. The Society, its officers or servants, shall not be responsible for accident, damage or loss, however caused, that may occur to any exhibitor or his servant, or to any animal, article or property brought onto the showground, or car parks, or while entering or leaving or being carried into or out of the said showground or car parks. Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may be done to, or occasioned by, or arising from any animal, article or property exhibited or brought onto the showground or car park by him, and he shall indemnify and hold harmless the Society from and against all such actions, suits and expenses and claims on account of, or in respect of any such damage or injury which may be so caused or occasioned.6. Each exhibit must be in charge of an attendant who will be required to conform to any rules and regulations the committee may deem it expedient to enforce. Entries to be properly bridled with bits in their mouths. Bulls must be secured by a ring, and all cattle have to be haltered.7. In the cattle classes the Judges are instructed to disqualify any cow that appears before them with her teats sealed or her udder in any way “faked”. In in-calf heifer classes prizes, will be paid on receipt by the secretary of satisfactory evidence of calving.8. The showground will be open to exhibitors at 8.00am. Judging in the horse sections will commence at 9.00am, the poultry section at 10.00am and the cattle and sheep sections at 10am. no exhibits must be removed from their lines, pens or stages before 4.00pm.9. A person who wishes to lodge an objection against any exhibit, must do so in writing, and hand into the Secretary’s office on the Showground before 4.00pm or within half an hour of the judging of the class, and pay a deposit of £20, which will be returned if the objection is upheld by the Committee (their decision in all cases shall be final and from which there shall be no appeal legal or otherwise) otherwise it will be forfeited to the Society.10. The Society reserve to themselves the right of accepting or rejecting any entry, to cancel any Class or Trade stand, and to expel any person from the Showground.11. Every exhibitor will be responsible for correctness of his certificate of Entry. one attendant allowed with each exhibit to a maximum of three. Lorry driver free.12. The ponies will not be allowed to race around the ring, under penalty of the riders being turned out. This rule will be strictly enforced. Parents or other relatives, friends or attendants will not be allowed in the ring during the time the classes are being judged. This rule does not apply to the leading rein class.

13. In all cattle sections no animal to compete in more than one class except for group and specials.14. All classes are for open competition except where otherwise stated.15. Any animal suffering from hereditary or contagious diseases will be disqualified.16. All horses in the restricted-to-height classes if found above the height defined will be disqualified.17. Every person subscribing not less than £10.00 per annum shall become a member of the Society.18. Subscribers to the show of £10.00 and upwards shall be entitled to exhibit at a reduced rate.19. Every subscriber of £10.00 (which constitutes membership) shall receive a Member’s Badge (non-transferable) which will admit the holder to the Showground free of charge. 20. The society reserves the right by itself and by it’s committee the sole and absolute right of determining the withholding of the show if national or other circumstances in the Committee’s opinion necessitate this procedure and accepts no liability for any loss which may be caused to exhibitors or other thereby.21. All trophies won at this show, except those won outright, to be held for one year only, and must be returned to the Secretary by the 1st May the following year. no cups to be engraved without the committee’s written permission.22. The Showground is on Farm Assured Land. All dogs must be regularly wormed and kept on a lead.
