Dear Village Community,

As we move together into the Spring of the year, we have a lot of things to look forward to.

The Village is once again decked out for Spring and I do not think it an exaggeration to say that this

retirement community is one of the most beautiful in our country. We can also look forward to

Resurrection Sunday as we celebrate together the crowning event in the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

His death was painful and costly to Him and its benefits are free and eternal to us. What a Savior!

John 20: 26-31

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the

doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he

said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my

side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!’

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me you have believed; blessed are those who have

not seen and yet have believed.” Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this

book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and

that by believing you may have life in his name.

Love in Christ,

Pastor Bob

APRIL BIRTHDAYSAPRIL BIRTHDAYSAPRIL BIRTHDAYSAPRIL BIRTHDAYS

I picked up a new book last month which has helped me to see more things to be thank-

ful for. It can be easy to see the big things in life to be grateful for. This book has helped me to

see the li?le things, as well, the smile of a child, clean clothes and a washing machine that

works. Being grateful can help reduce stress, improves immunity, and helps one sleep

be?er. Join me this month finding large and small things to be grateful for.

“Gratude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns

denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a

house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratude makes sense of our past, brings peace for

today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” - Melody Bea e

Dear Residents,

Spring is here and it is nice to have the worst of the cold weather behind us. It is nice to have the changing seasons to keep us thankful for the variety of life's experiences. I wanted to remind you of our policy regarding trips on Transportation Day -Wednesdays. In order to be able to take advantage of our reduced rate for that day, you must make arrangements for the trip before Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Otherwise the trip will need to be charged on a per mile basis like we do on other days. Of course "other conditions apply" also. If you have any questions, please contact us and/or read about it in our Helpful Information Guide. I appreciate the response to my letter regarding the importance of our lifeline service. We have had some additional participants sign up and others that have re-newed their efforts to wear their pendants. If you were impressed to add this protection to your life, please do not put off signing up for the service. Just call us and we will get the process started for you. Lifeline usually charges a setup fee to start the service, but if you signed up in March or will sign up in April The Village will pay that additional amount for you if you sign up before the end of April. Please make use of this wonderful service. The remodels are progressing well with many more being started. There are so many changes going on right now, that I will not list them all, and if I did they might change anyway, but be sure to watch for the list of new residents so you can welcome your new neighbors. The remodels we are currently working on are #'s 33, 66, 38, and 74. Since I am usually here in the building, I have the privilege of hearing our Chime Choir practicing. It is so nice to hear residents making music together. They are doing a wonderful job. We are looking forward to their first performance in the future. As I eat at restaurants and other public places, I am so happy that we have such good food service right here in our Village Cafe. It is hard to match the choices and the quality of food that we serve every day here for lunch in our own cafe. Be sure and make it a part of your routine. If you don't feel up to coming down, we can bring your meal to you. Just give us a call. Our Thankfulness wall question this month is “What are you grateful for this month?” Stop by and share your thoughts and read what others have written.

Have a great April,

Dennis
