From the Editor
MELISSA MIDDLETON, 2L SBA BOARD 2007-2008
Welcome Back! I am sure that many of you spent the weekend engaged in Bar Preparation classes or study-ing for finals. As the year comes to an end, clubs are busy putting together their last speaker events and so-cial functions. I hope you all find time to take advantage of the plethora of opportuni-ties that are offered. I usually use the Letter from the Editor to highlight some of the events that are occurring on campus, but this week is the last week I will be editing The Grapevine so I thought it would be more appropriate to take a mo-ment to thank all of those who have made this year run so smoothly. First, I want to thank my fellow SBA Board members. You are all such wonderful people with such successful careers in front of you. Keep working hard and leading your community with the grace and class you have shown me. Second, I would like to thank the administra-tion and staff for all of their
support and kindness over the past year. Specifically, I would like to thank Alisa Guglielmo, Dean Erwin, Dean Jaffee, and Dean Polden. You have made this year run smoothly and have lent a helping hand even when you were busy with your own workload. And lastly, I would like to thank the student body. Many of you have become some of my closest friends and I am going to tremen-dously miss those of you who are graduating. Make sure to keep in touch and bring your compassion and kindness into the Santa Clara legal community. As my Irish grandfather always said: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Very truly yours, Melissa L. Middleton SBA Print Editor

INFORMATION MEETING RE KATHARINE & GEORGE ALEXANDER COMMUNITY LAW
CENTER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SUMMER AND FALL
When? Monday, April 14 Time? 12:10 to 1 p.m. (FOOD will be available!) Where? Bannan 139 Hear what the Law Center has to offer. Students currently representing clients will be there to answer your questions. Supervising attorneys and others will give you an overview of the courses available, the num-ber of units you can earn, etc. while representing live clients who have no other recourse to legal representa-tion. (You work under the close supervision of attorneys of course.) Make a difference in our community while learning "on-the-job" lawyering skills.
Questions? Contact Professor Angelo Ancheta, [email protected] or 551-1904
