Chuck attended one year at the Cincinnati Art Academy before moving to southern California, where he studied at the California Art Institute. While out west he studied with various artists that worked in the Southwest style, and the California Plein Air style.

Judith Affatato

Judith Affatato (Signature Member) did not attend formal art school. The Cin-cinnati Art Club has been her sole inspiration and instruc-tion in fine arts. At an early age, at her mother’s request, she studied for a nursing career. Mother always said “Judy girl, you should study something where you can always get a job.”

So Judith entered nursing and worked many years while raising five children. Judith always loved fine art but never thought she could actually create her own work until taking a class in faux painting. Experiencing some success in this class,

a friend who is a CAC member suggested she join the CAC to learn drawing. Judith has been forever grateful.

Since then, Judith has taken several work-shops and studied with David Mueller. She usually works in oil though sometimes in pastel or graphite drawings.

Her favorite subjects are animals. Judith’s constant goal is for the viewer to see their personality in her work. ‘My future goal is to bring the beauty of animals to people so we may all remember and respect them…” Judith is a supporter of ASPCA and The Humane Society. They do great work, often stepping up when others walk away.

Judith is currently serving on the CAC Board of Directors, and is active in our weekly Sketch Groups. There are many artists who Judith loves .... Jeff Gendert, Rob-ert Bateman and of course, David Mueller.
