R J Fisher presents “13” a modern musical about fitting in…and standing out!
Geek, Poser, Jock, Beauty Queen. Wannabe. These are the labels that can last a lifetime. When 13 year old Evan Goldman moves from New York City to Indiana, he must escape rumors and blackmail if he hopes to make friends and find happiness at his new school. This play deals with the hardships of leaving familiar places for unfamiliar ones, fitting in with your peers, and transitioning from youth to adulthood. Both hilarious and poignant, this upbeat musical comedy celebrates the triumphs and challenges of growing up.

The raffles at the tournament are the most important part of the fundraising effort and we need our generous parent community to contribute funds toward purchasing the raffle prizes. Contribution is super easy and any amount is appreciated. Simply click on the link below and remember your contribution is tax deductible.

RJFisher Sports Column FIRST DAY OF TRYOUTS FOR FISHER GIRLS VOLLEYBALL will be Wednesday 2/12 due to conflicts in the gym on Monday/Tuesday. Tryouts will continue Thursday 2/13 and finish Friday 2/14. Thank you for your patience. Please make sure to have your student check with her coaches as that will be the most up-to-date information. There will be 4 days of tryouts and teams will be announced Friday 2/14 before the weekend.
All info can be found HERE. All Fisher sport participants must register with LG Recreation.
TRACK SEASON PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! Track season for Fisher is quite a spectacle. It also has been an extremely positive and successful program. We typically have close to 200 athletes. This year we are asking for 6 parent volunteers to step up and be at practices 3 days a week. Ideally we want 2 parent volunteers per grade level. The commitment will be mostly a supervision type role. These parent volunteers would need to be at practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00—4:45. Parents who sign up for this will have their child’s track registration fee waived. Season begins April 13th and ends May 14th — a very short season. If you have any interest or specific questions about these positions, please email Mr. Mercer: [email protected].
TRACK COACHES NEEDED We have vacancies for a throwing coach (discus and shot put) as well as a high jump coach. If you have any experience with these events and are interested in helping out the Fisher track team, please contact Mr. Mercer [email protected] to inquire about more information.
TRACK ADMIN and WEBSITE We are looking for help from Fisher track parents to assist in the area of administration. We have a great team of 2 parents who manage the weekly communication, help with the FAQ’s and assist with attendance and meet organization. We are looking for people to assist these parents. Just like the volunteers needed at practice your child’s track registration would be waived.
