FYEG is opening a vacancy for a campaign coordinator as a paid part-time position starting

from 1st of November for 8 months to develop and coordinate implementation of the

election campaing of FYEG.

FYEG is a dynamic, inclusive organisation that unites young Green activists, Green youth movements

and political organisations from all over Europe. It advocates and campaigns for political change and

serves as a platform for exchange of ideas and knowledge. It is an influential lobby group in theEuropean Union with perspectives stretching beyond Europe.

FYEG plans to play an important role in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the

European election campaign in 2014. We believe that especially young people can be agents for

exchange and intercultural understanding in this framework.

To the outside we are determined to put our energy into making Europe Greener, Europeanising

political debates in the EU and as well to bring together young people from all over Europe who are

taking political responsibility. We want to bring our topics and demands in the centre of attention

and raise awareness around them. In this we see the election campaign as a great way to get moreengaged with grass-roots activism

More internally, we want to use the election campaign to make FYEG more visible and to recruit

more members for our Member Organisations. We want to use the election campaign to bring

members from our Member Organisations together, to share best practices, which include capacity

building, to campaign, discuss the similarities and differences, and have fun together!

Aims and Objectives of the campaign:

Support MOs in national campaigns to get good results in as many member states as possible

Support young (Green) candidates all over Europe and to be a platform for them to promote their

campaigns Raise awareness of the importance of Europe and Green topics to Youth

Promote topics (choosen by MOs and WGs)

Visibility for FYEG (and its MOs)

In order to develop and implement the campaign to the best possible extend we are searching for

a campaign coordinator for following tasks:

ensuring basic communication between Campaign team, Executive Committee, Member

Organisations and Working Groups.

keeping close cooperation with partners (European Green Party, European Youth Forum, Greens

in the European Parliament, Green European Foundation etc) organising practicalities in the campaign (booking tickets, printing flyers)

support of the external communication team and online campaign

preparation of campaign team meetings

keeping an overview of activities with MO (SecGens + Campaign Managers)

financial management of the campaign

Desired profile of applicant for the campaign coordinator:

very good project management skills

experience in project management/coordination on European level

experience with campaigning is not a requirement, but a strong asset

fluency in English

This part-time employment (30 hours/week) is for a period of 8 months, starting from 1 st of

November 2013 and ending on 31 st of June 2014. The campaign coordinator will receive a monthly

salary of 1200 EUR (netto).
