CALL FOR NOMINATIONS MALAYSIA CYBER SECURITY AWARDS 2015
Seven (7) award categories in recognition of innovation, commitment, industry leadership and contribution to public education
KUALA LUMPUR (22 JUNE 2015) – CyberSecurity Malaysia, the national cyber
security specialist and technical agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology,
and Innovation (MOSTI) is once again calling for nomination for the prestigious
Malaysia Cyber Security Awards 2015.
Nominations are now open for deserving individuals, SMEs, local and international
corporations (self nomination is accepted) for the seven categories of the Awards by
the 6th of July 2015. (details at http://www.csm-ace.my/awards.html )
According to Dr. Amirudin Abdul Wahab, Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity
Malaysia, judges are looking for nominees who are able to demonstrate innovation,
commitment and industry leadership, as well as contribution to the community’s well
being.”
“Those selected will be receiving crystal plaques and certificates to be presented by
the Hon. Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Dr. Ewon Ebin

during a Gala Dinner at the grand ballroom of the Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.” Dr Amirudin added.
The CSM-ACE 2015, which will be held on the 6th until the 10th of September 2015 is
highly anticipated to become a new world record for being the biggest Regional
Cyber Security Summit, not only in Malaysia, but also in the Asia Pacific region and
among the 57 OIC member countries; because CyberSecurity Malaysia is hosting
two major regional events to be held together with the CSM-ACE2015, namely:
a. The annual meeting and conference of the Asia Pacific Computer
Emergency Response Team (APCERT) www.apcert.org
b. The 2015 AGM and Annual Conference of the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation – Computer Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT).
Recipients of the Malaysia Cyber Security Awards 2015 will enjoy maximum benefits
in terms of publicity and visibility. There will be lots of media coverage and social
media status updates.
Nomination process is ongoing for the seven categories listed below:
1. CYBER SECURITY PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
2. CYBER SECURITY COMPANY OF THE YEAR
3. CYBER SECURITY PROJECT OF THE YEAR
4. CYBER SECURITY ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR
5. CYBER SECURITY EDUCATION & TRAINING PROVIDER OF THE
YEAR
6. CYBER SECURITY OUTREACH PROVIDER OF THE YEAR
7. CYBERSAFE AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR
