THE SOCIAL SCIENCE JOURNAL Special Issue: Social Sciences in South-East Asia The Social Science Journal invites authors to submit manuscripts to be considered for inclusion in a planned special issue on the Social Sciences in South-East Asia. The region is broadly defined as including the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Vietnam. The emergence of South-East Asia, marked by significant economic growth along with major political, social and cultural transformations, represents an ideal moment for an in-depth assessment of topics related to the region. We welcome analytic papers from all the social sciences focusing on issues within one country or comparisons among countries in the region. Authors of selected papers from the First International Conference on the Behavioral and Social Sciences held in Kampar, Malaysia in November 2012 will also be invited to submit them for consideration. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and should be no more than 25 typed, double-spaced pages including tables, figures and references. Papers must be submitted online (ees.elsevier.com/socsci) and received no later than August 31, 2013. Please address questions to the Special Issue Editor: N. Prabha Unnithan, Department of Sociology, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80523-1784. Email: [email protected].
