Call for Poster Abstracts Join local, regional, and national advanced practice leaders, policy makers, and scholars as they showcase the contributions of DNP-prepared nurses and explore an evolving vision for DNPs to positively affect clinical practice, health policy, and care delivery across the healthcare continuum. The five categories for poster abstracts include: 1. DNP Student Projects 2. Evolution of DNP Roles and Practice 3. DNP Impact on Patient Care or Health Care Delivery Outcomes 4. DNP Impact on Health Care Systems 5. DNP Impact on Health Policy Committee Review and Notification: The DNP Summit Poster Committee will review each submission. Acceptance decisions will be sent to the submitting author by September 9, 2019. Final poster submission requirements will be sent to the submitting author. For technical issues involving submitted documents (i.e., uploaded cover letter, abstract, and electronic please contact Nadine Taylor at (585) 275-0446. The DNP Summit’s Poster Session provides an opportunity for DNP students, educators, and practitioners to disseminate ongoing and completed scholarly inquiry projects/initiatives, clinical projects, evidence-based practice, and best practices. The deadline for poster abstract submissions is August 2, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Summit registration is NOT required at the time of poster abstract submission; however, if the abstract is selected, DNP Summit registration and attendance is REQUIRED by the submitting author. Please submit a cover letter that contains the following information: a. Title of Poster b. Author(s) name(s) & credentials; submitting author c. Affiliation(s), addresses, email addresses, and phone number(s) of all authors 3. Abstracts must be no longer than 500 words, must not contain identifying author information, and should include: a. A project summary, including: background, purpose, methodology, results, and implications for practice b. A brief description of how the project/poster aligns with the selected poster category Poster Style and Presentation 1. 4’ height x 6’ width printed format 2. Foam easel board and poster clips will be provided 3. Tables will not be present or allowed 4. Presenter(s) responsible for set-up and take-down of the poster on the day of the Summit on Nov. 1.
