From the Senior PastorIt’s not too late to join us for an amazing Biblical Tour of the Holy Land, October 11-20!

For many years, I wanted to visit Israel. I always imagined how seeing the land of the Bible, experiencing the culture, and walking in the literal steps of Moses, David, and Jesus would be life-changing for me. I didn’t want to merely read in black and white about these places and the world-shaping events that took place there. I wanted to experience them in color! When the opportunity presented itself to participate in a 10-day tour, I didn’t hesitate. And, even with the accumulation of many years’ worth of high expectations, I was not disappointed. Looking back now, my only regret was waiting so long to go. Last year, I was blessed to be able to lead a group and had a phenomenal experience the second time. This year, I hope you’ll go with me! You’ll be a better student, a better teacher, and a better follower of Christ because of this experience. If you can go, go!

Here’s our itinerary:Day 1 – Depart USAWe will travel to Montgomery, then fly to Philadelphia for our connecting flight to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Day 2 – Arrive Tel Aviv, Galilee

Day 3 – Galilee, Mt. of Beatitudes, Capernaum; Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee, Cana, Nazareth, Jordan River

Day 4 – Galilee, Druze lunch stop, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Caesarea Maritima

Day 5 – Golan Heights, Caesarea Philippi, Tel Dan, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea

Day 6 – Dead Sea, Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Jerusalem

Day 7 – Mt. of Olives, Palm Sunday Road, Garden of Gethsemane, Mt. Zion Gate, Jewish Quarter, Temple Mount, Bethlehem

Day 8 – Yad Vashem, Shrine of the Book, Model City, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, St. Peter Gallicantu, Garden Tomb

Day 9 – Jerusalem – Elah Valley – Jaffa – Ben Gurion Airport for overnight return flight

Day 10 – Saturday Oct 20: Arrive back in USA

We’ll return with lasting memories of the Old and New Testament, a renewal of our faith, and a greater understanding of the life and ministry of our Lord. If you’d like more information, please contact the Church Office or go to CalvaryDothan.com to register online.

Soli Deo Gloria,Pastor Paul

C.O.M.E. - Calvary On Mission EverydaySummer of Service On Wednesday, July 25, we want to hold a medical screening event for our neighborhood and for those in need. We need medical personnel to help us! We need doctors and nurses! We need those who would assist. We need others to greet and show God’s love. You can in essence be a part of a mission team right here in Dothan. Our goal is to serve our God through demonstrating His love and serving our fellow man by helping with health needs. We have a meeting on Wednesday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 314 in the ROC. Please come. This ministry will not happen if those whom God has gifted to be in medicine do not help. Call me for more information.

Guatemala Mission Trip We will have a meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, in Room 314 in the ROC. This will be a meeting to continue to give pertinent information about the trip, to let the teams formulate ministry plans, and pray! All team members are required to be there.

Ten Years The time has gone by quickly. Your response to the recognition of my ten year anniversary was very humbling. So many of you have touched our hearts. So many have expressed your love. So many have invited us to be a part of what God is doing in your life. It is my prayer that God will continue to “melt” our lives together for His glory. Thank you!
