Busan is one of Northeast Asia’s leading port cities, with a population of 3.6 million people. Busan is a beautiful sea city with clean air and pleasant weather, and was recently included on the list of Korea’s most livable cities for a fifth consecutive year. As Busan is the biggest city after Seoul and Busan Port is Korea’s first trade port, there are many tourist sites and attractions for students to enjoy on weekends. As well, a wide range of events are held in Busan every year, including the Busan International Film Festival(BIFF) and the Gwangalli Fireworks Festival, offering international students a chance to participate and naturally learn Korean outside of school.
