    >DESCRIPTION

    The rainsuit, comprising of a jacket and trousers,is a converged design meeting the Air Force and

    Armys requirements for a suitable rainsuit system.

    The rain jacket and trousers are equipped with aWaterproof, Moisture Vapour Permeable (WMVP)membrane with static dissipative properties incorporatedinto the fabric. The WMVP membrane provides protectionfrom the wind and rain while permitting the transfer ofbody moisture to the outside of the garment. To ensuregreater protection from the elements entering thegarment, the seams are sealed with a compatiblewaterproof tape. The anti-static properties add some

    protection in an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) hazardousenvironment when following proper grounding procedures.

    >CONCEPT OF USE:

    The converged rainsuit addresses the need for a garmentthat will keep the individual dry and comfortable in

    temperatures ranging from +10C to + 25C. The rainsuitprovides wind and rain protection and allows for thetransfer of body moisture to the outside. The Air Forcedeveloped the rain jacket and pant ensemble using theWMVP technology incorporating anti-static propertiesinto the textile to accommodate the requirements of theirflight line personnel.

    The convergence with the Air Forces 2 in 1 rainsuit, allowedthe Army to optimize the current design by adding modificationsthat include customized fit options, improved ventilation andadditional pockets. The Converged CADPAT Rainsuit (CCR)is available in the Canadian Disruptive Pattern (CADPAT) inboth Temperate Woodland (TW) and Arid Region (AR) makingit compatible with other in-service combat clothing systems.

    >USER MAINTENANCE

    You are responsible for the care and maintenance of yourrain suit. To maximize and maintain performance:

    A. ensure there are no punctures in the WMVP membraneas the rainsuits performance will be degraded;

    B. in the event of damage and/or deterioration, return toclothing stores for repair;

    C. to maintain performance keep the garment clean andrinse well when laundering. Ensure the rainsuit iswashed separately from other garments to maintainthe integrity of the electrostatic dissipative propertiesof the fabric;

    D. read the specific care/maintenance instructionslabel on each garment; and

    E. DO NOT remove the reflector tape tabs and / or eardefender straps from the garment.
