DRIVE YOUR MG or JAGUAR - MAY 7th
Start your drive from any of the following rally points to drive to the club in convoy
with other members (meeting times vary, check with Robert if you’re not sure):

The Pub at the Rugby Club will be open at Noon and we have Pizzas on order.

DRIVE YOUR MG or JAGUAR - MAY 7th
FRIDAY MAY 20th “CAPE TO CAIRO and beyond” - a presentation by
the drivers of the five MGs from Australia [who will be leaving Vancouver
on Sunday May 22nd to drive across the North American continent].
CCMGC/CXKJR members are invited to the Clubhouse in Burnaby to
enjoy the presentation and a pot luck dinner. It will start at 6pm and don’t forget to bring a dish of
food with you!
It would be most helpful if you emailed us ([email protected]) if you plan to attend, so we
can make arrangements with a number in mind.
The five cars, and their drivers, will be in the MG area at the All British Field Meet in Vandusen Gardens
on Saturday May 21st.
There will be a special audio/visual presentation entitled “Auto- biography of a new
club member” at our May meeting. The name of the member will not be revealed
until the end of the presentation.

**Wanted: Club member to distribute Classical Gas Magazine. Mail out to members not at the meeting and
hand out/record members who pick up their magazine at the meeting. (You know how or are willing to
learn how to mail merge labels.) You do not have to pick up the magazines from the printer. You do not
have to distribute to advertisers. A great opportunity to join the Classical Gas Team. Contact Jennifer

Jaguar Langley is celebrating their official Grand Opening on Thursday evening May 5th. The
event takes place in their custom designed Jaguar/Land Rover outdoor lounge where upwards of
300 invited guests will listen to the sounds of a live jazz band. Thank you to Club members Ian
Newby, John Clarke, Tom Doyle and Len Walker for offering their classic cars for display and to
Carole Borgens who worked diligently to help secure vehicles and get them to Langley. Jaguar Langley is
one of our newest advertisers and featured inside back cover of the 2016 Membership Roster.
