December 2, 2017

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

You’re anxious….scared. You know something isn't right…and you know you need help. You pick up your

phone and you dial... For 28 years Riverdale Hatzalah has answered that call.

For 28 years people you know and trust….people who give freely of their time….people who care about

you answer that call with professionalism, passion, respect and love for what they do.

Now we need you to answer their call!!!

Riverdale Hatzalah was started BY OUR COMMUNITY, TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY. Riverdale Hatzalah

needs you, the Riverdale Community, to continue to support its lifesaving work. Our volunteers donate

their time, but without YOUR financial support, we cannot provide them with the training and tools that

they need.

Riverdale Hatzalah continues to deliver its vital services to those in need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our 30 volunteer EMTs and Paramedics respond to over 850 medical emergencies annually. Leaving

their families and businesses, their Shabbos and Yom Tov tables to provide the highest quality emergency

medical care to our community.

The escalating costs of ambulance maintenance, insurance, medical equipment and drugs, and commu-

nications equipment creates a greater need for your help. The state mandated switch to electronic pre-

hospital call reports, new radio dispatch systems and the immediate need for a new ambulance are major

undertakings that require significant capital. Riverdale Hatzalah pays dues to the larger Central Hatzalah

organization, which provides our dispatching, licensing, insurance, and other required services. We spare

no cost in providing our community with the best care and equipment available, but we need greater sup-

port to make these purchases.

Riverdale Hatzalah is SUPPORTED SOLELY BY CONTRIBUTIONS FROM OUR COMMUNITY! Riverdale

Hatzalah does not charge patients for its services. Only with your generous support of our annual campaign

can Riverdale Hatzalah continue to provide our community with the highest level of emergency medical

services.

Annual Friends of Riverdale Hatzalah begins with your donation of $360, which enables our volunteers

to continue their vital work. We urge you to consider giving at the Annual Friends of Hatzalah Appeal level

or above. Quality Emergency medical care is costly, until you need it; then it becomes priceless.

With best wishes for your good health and a Happy Chanukah!

Sincerely,

Harry M. Feder & Seryl Ritter Matthew Lipman & Jeff MoerdlerCarole B. Sondheim Coordinators
