Canoe Containment and Transfer Point

Embed Size (px)

DESCRIPTION

When material is dropped onto the belt, Impact Bars absorb the shock. Canoe Liners force the material to the belt center as it settles during the first feet of travel. Dust Seals back the liners up, preventing rouge dust and fine material from escaping. If the transfer point is located at the belt seal, the Tail Seal will prevent any leakage from the back of the canoe.

    Rubber CeramicCanoe Liners

Liner Specifications Highly effective particularly where material is being bulk loaded onto the conveyor to control the material until it becomes stable. The liners are steel backed and made to fit existing loading stations. Manufactured to conform to the belt with the ability to adjust the height to fit the belt. The rubber thickness varies and ceramics can be added to fit the application.

Canoe Liners are designed for easy installation, adjustment and alignment. They are anchored solidly to canoe frames using embeddedfasteners and are proven to enhance belt life due to our drag-free design.

Benefits Precision alignment to any belt, forming a tight liner-to-belt seal and preventing damaging shards of material from working their way between the liner and the belt. Custom-designed, high grade rubber and ceramics form a rigid, high cushioned wall that keeps even the toughest material on the center of the belt. Reduces cost-per-ton, elimates spillage, contains dust and diminishes noise.

    Canoe Liners are abrasion resistant.

Also known as Heavy Duty Skirt Liners.

The Double Lip Seal is also available.

    Dust Seals

Typical seals are sold in large rolls that are hard to handleour dust seals are effective and easy tohandle because they are supplied in 10 lengths. The all-rubber construction has high resistance to tearing, cutting and abrasion. These are available as double-lip or triple-lip conveyor dust seals and designed to work in conjunction with our other Containment System components.

Tool-Less Operation Eliminates Spillage Contains Dust Reduced Cost-Per-Ton

Although these bars come in standard lengths of 48 and 60, they can be customized to various lengths and thicknesses. The mounting systems are typically a T-track that accommodates a T-bolt for mounting, but that too can be tailor-made to order. Various rubber compounds are available to meet the end-users demanding requirements.

  • Tail Seals

Typical seals are fashioned from either a single flap of conveyor belt bolted to the rear of the conveyor, or a slab of rubber bolted in the same fashion. Adjustment of the rubber is too time consumingand is only occasionally performed, causing more dust and material to escape into the atmosphere andfall onto the ground.

Our Tail Seal design eliminates spillage.

An example of a poorly-designed Tail Seal where material pours freely out of the tail section.

A single flap of rubber is replaced with three molded rubber blades forming a triple seal.

All of the rubber blades are vertically adjustable with stainless steel adjusting screws that are equipped with handles for easy hand adjustment.

    The rubber blades are replaceable.

The entiThe entire Tail Seal box can be unbolted and removed for service or rebuilding.

Wear life on the structural steel components is virtually lifetime.

Dual heavy-duty clamps force the seal downwardsonto the belt creating effective contact across the entire canoe width.

Speciality-formulated rubber compunds eliminate ffriction and drag on the belt.
