DESCRIPTION
Cantilever racking is intended to store long items, planks and other cumbersome goods and in particular long profiles, metal and plastic pipes as well as beams or wooden beading. Cantilever racking is important where fast and simple access to a wide range of goods is called for.

Cantilever Racking
Cantilever racking with patented locking wedgeThe patented system from Sipag with the special double locking wedge has several benefits. Through the double locking wedge, the cantilever arms are positively and immovably positioned. The cantilever arms are interlocked with the uprights by the specially hardened locking wedges. Furthermore, the wedge lock distributes the pressure, increasing safety, durability and stability.
Standard parts are available in single or back-to-back versions. Thanks to the patented locking wedge technique, the racking is free-standing and needs neither wall nor ceiling fixation. Both sides of the rack can be independently adjusted in increments of 76mm.

In the Sipag System, the uprights taper towards the top, a construction that rectifies the deflection when the frame is only loaded on one side or when the uprights are not loaded uniformly.
This results in safe, efficient operation because the distance between the cantilever arms remains constant so that there is no danger due to aisle widths altering.
Individual, computer-controlled
calculations make it possible to have uprights up to 12m high and cantilever arms up to 3m long. Cantilever racking is constructed for extreme loads, e.g. for the metal industry. Loads of 280kN (4.3to) on each cantilever arm can be achieved, depending on the centre of gravity of the load.
Every structure is calculated with a safety factor of at least 1.5 (on the yield stress of the steel), thus outperforming the demands of any standard.

long, cumbersome goods. Single sided racking can be retrofitted to form a back-to-back rack.
