BVCI Pty Ltd is a member of the STRONGFORM Group of Companies and is wholly Australian owned and operated. Since 1967, BVCI has been servicing the Telecommunications, Rail, Mining, Energy, Defence, Air, Road, Electrical, Communications, Septic, Sewage Treatment, Tradewaste and Stormwater industries with pre-cast and custom concrete cable jointing pits and covers. In the past 15 years, BVCI has added rotationally moulded plastic products including cable pits, water and industrial tanks and specialised ductile and galvanized steel access cover assemblies to the extensive product range.

We pride ourselves on product innovation and continue to design and develop new cable jointing pit and cover options for the telecommunications industry as well as the general communications and electrical industries, including high security pits and access cover assemblies such as SCEC endorsed assemblies developed for and installed at numerous Defence facilities around Australia.

Our Industries
BVCI has been providing the following industries with specialist service for over 40 years.
Telecommunications BVCI has supplied to Australia’s major telecommunications carriers for over 35 years, and is instrumental in the design and implementation of plastic and concrete products for Australia’s telecommunications networks. All BVCI plastic polymer cable pits are designed and tested to “Telcordia” standard and AS3996. The plastic cable pits have been developed with assistance from industry and major Authorities to ensure they meet the stringent requirements for installation and long term use. BVCI’s expertise and manufacturing capability in this industry is well proven and has been highlighted by the ability to manufacture and supply for major projects such as NBN and other broadband roll out projects throughout Australia.
Electrical/Communications BVCI offers a wide range of plastic and precast concrete electrical and communication cable pits including galvanized steel, concrete and plastic covers.
Road BVCI manufactures a range of precast concrete and plastic electrical pits with cover assemblies to meet specific state and urban authority needs.

Defence With a full range of SCEC endorsed precast concrete cable pits and specialized security locking steel access covers, BVCI is proud to be recognised nationally as a major supplier for Defence and other high security installation projects. Innovation in design is critical to BVCI in ensuring a position as a leading supplier to this Defence industry where security is paramount. BVCI are constantly redeveloping this unique SCEC range of products to meet future higher level security requirements.
Rail/Mining BVCI works closely with Authorities in development to meet the integrity of cable pits (concrete and plastic) and access covers for the rail and mining industry. The design integrity of BVCI rail and mining pits is paramount in withstanding the constant vibration on rail line installations. From urban light rail and commuter rail projects to national heavy freight and mining, BVCI are a leading supplier to Rail in Australia.
Airports BVCI manufacture a wide range of selective cable pits and access covers to meet all load ratings including runway traffic to class G (900kN ultimate design load). SCEC endorsed security pits and covers are also used in airports for general security.
Energy & Special Construction BVCI manufacture and distribute a wide range of plastic and precast concrete cable pits and access covers for the energy sector. SCEC endorsed security pits and covers are also used in specific energy installations. BVCI works with energy Authorities to assist in design for specific HV manhole needs. This has proven most successful in converting practices of in-situ construction to pre-cast concrete.
BVCI also design and manufacture custom pits for applications other than electrical and communications including water storage and irrigation.
Stormwater BVCI manufacture and supply a range of stormwater pit products including; precast concrete and plastic pits, and galvanised steel grates. BVCI also supply precast concrete assemblies for irrigation management.
Tradewaste, Septic Tanks & Associated Products BVCI manufacture a wide range of precast concrete chambers for general liquid tradewaste (grease, oil and petrol) management. BVCI also manufacture septic tanks to meet Australian standard AS/NZ 1546.
Water & Industrial Tanks BVCI manufacture a wide range of plastic domestic water tanks, & specialised industrial tanks to suit various industries for liquid storage of chemicals & water treatment.
