Jaytex Constructions has evolved
from one man with a ute and a
wheelbarrow into an award-winning
construction company with a rich 20-
year history. It is a company defined by
exceptional financial capacity, impeccable
reputation for fair dealing and a cooperative
and flexible approach to contractual relations.
Our managing director Brett Dixon started with
concreting driveways and paths. However, it wasn’t
long before he had completed a kerbing project at the
Darwin International Airport and expanded his business
into Asia. Now, Jaytex Constructions is building key
multimillion dollar projects and are a leading Territory
business who focuses on local employment. It’s a
legacy we take pride in.
Jaytex was built on trust, integrity, transparency and
family spirit, which has been core to its success. These
company values are the same now as when Brett
established the business in 1997. This is testament
to the culture of respect and dedication you’ll find
at Jaytex Constructions.
Under Brett’s leadership Jaytex has
gone on to win several HIA awards
and continues to go from strength to
strength. With a business model built
on transparency and integrity Brett
and our team have established
a company that clients return
to because they know our
word and our work can
be 100% trusted.

OUR CAPABILITIES
7
FINANCIAL STRENGTH Our solid portfolio of high quality projects and long
list of satisfied clients gives us reason to be justifiably
proud of our capabilities. We have worked together as
a team to build a strong balance sheet over the past
20 years and have a CAL accreditation for works $20m
plus. You can have absolute confidence in the quality
execution and completion of your projects with Jaytex,
large or small.
AGILEWe are nimble and can respond quickly to changes
in projects as required by our clients, whether that’s
starting a project quickly, or a changing program or
design. Flexibility and responsiveness is how we’ve built
a base of happy clients. Our clients have access to the
ultimate decision makers and we are not constrained
by layers of red tape, if you want something ‘out of the
box’, we make it happen.
MANAGEMENT APPROACHOur approach is all about giving you a smooth and easy
experience. The same team that quotes your work will
be the same team to deliver your work. You won’t get
passed from division to division and important details
won’t be missed or forgotten. A single point of contact
brings transparency and reliability you can trust.
TRANSPARENCYWe are open and honest. We are in the business of
client satisfaction so we do not try to win a job at any
and all costs. We will never take on a job knowing there
are issues with drawings or details, with the intention of
charging the client with a variation after the contract is
awarded. If we see an issue, we bring it to the client’s
attention up front and help them work through it.
Jaytex will always give you the opportunity
to view proposed layouts and costs, and
change details beforehand to ensure that
you get the place and space that is right
for your business.
OUR EXPERTISE
8
WE LISTEN You have a vision for your project.
It’s our job to get you there. In the past
you may have felt steamrolled by builders
who don’t listen. You won’t find that attitude
here. We work through your needs and pay
attention to your special requirements. In addition
to advice on buildability and cost we’ll also look for
improvements and alternatives that will help add value.
WE EXPLAIN We don’t gloss over matters with technical speak, but
take the time to explain things like buildability, program
scheduling and risks in detail. Our team help clients
understand all costs, potential pitfalls and potential cost
savings. We pride ourselves on bringing our clients with
us on the journey and keeping them informed and up-
to-date from start to finish.
WE DELIVER QUALITYWe do not try save a dollar by cutting corners and
covering it up behind finished works; we do not ‘water
down our paint’. Our team takes pride in delivering a
quality, lasting product that makes an eminent mark on
the Darwin landscape.
Quality is what we’ve built our reputation on. And the
reason you can count on the quality of our work is
the quality of our people. Jaytex Constructions fosters
an open and collaborative culture, so our people are
empowered to take responsibility for the quality and
outcome of their work. Our team are more than just
skilled and experienced, they genuinely care about
getting it right.

WE ARE NOT LIKE OTHER BUILDERS
9
WE ARE SAFE Safety is our driving principle. It’s everyone’s
responsibility, whether on site or in the office. We deliver
a unique Work Health and Safety plan for every project
to identify, manage and mitigate risk, and all our safety
processes comply with AS 4801.
Our safety culture has been forged from the top down,
with our managing director often attending on site
inspections, leading our commitment to safety by
example. We are determined to not only meet, but
exceed industry standards, engaging external safety
firm HSEMA to oversee and regularly audit our safety
processes and update management on changes in
regulation.
WE RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENTWe value the environments that we build in. We are
careful, we clean up after ourselves and we work to
recognised, certified standards, including ISO 14001.
Unique Environment Project Plans are created for every
development to ensure everything, from soil erosion,
waste, noise, dust, weed, and water management, is
considered and minimised.
Our exemplary environmental policy and
management system is readily available and
regular staff and contractor training is conducted to
ensure we all understand our responsibilities and
statutory obligations.
On an administration level we take up initiatives that
minimise our impact on the environment. We are an
active collection centre for Cartridges 4 Planet Ark
and FlouoroCycle (lamps that contain mercury). We
also dispose of leftover paint and paint packaging via
Paintback, which funds research to find better uses of
unwanted paint. We lead by example and encourage all
our subcontractors to respect the environment, support
these initiatives and reduce their environmental footprint.
WE’RE PROUD LOCALS We believe in investing in people, in our community
and we take every opportunity to develop the local
economy. As Darwin locals we take great pride in
working with the community to make our shared home
a better place. Jaytex is passionate about upskilling
local people and creating a more equitable construction
industry in the NT. Our trainee and apprenticeship
program for young Indigenous people interested in a
career in construction is just the first step of our long-
term Indigenous Engagement Plan.
Darwin a unique, friendly, and welcoming place
and volunteer, community-run organisations are the
backbone of this great culture. Jaytex is proud to play
our part in this community, supporting many local
events and organisations.
We are proud sponsors of the annual Special
Children’s Christmas Party in Palmerston,
helping make disadvantaged and disabled
children’s Christmas dreams come true. We
also offer regular support to:
• RSPCA Darwin
• Bryce Fullwood Racing
• Banks Bulldogs Football Club
• Movember Foundation
• Young Diggers Association

From laying concrete kerbing in Mildura to establishing
one of the Northern Territory’s most successful
businesses, Brett Dixon has always been driven to be
his own boss. As someone who has thrived on the
challenge of succeeding in a sometimes unrewarding
economy, Brett truly understands the highs and pitfalls
his clients face and works side by side with them to
help them succeed.
His entrepreneurial interests extend past Jaytex
Constructions to kerbing, real estate, property
management, motorcycle dealerships and race horses,
spanning Australia, Asia and Canada. Happily based in
Darwin for many years, Brett is a committed member of
the local community and chairman of the Darwin Turf
Club.
Brett’s professionalism and integrity go back to the
days when a handshake was as solid as a written
contract. That’s how Brett still does business – with
transparency and respect. It’s this ‘open book’ approach
to leadership that has fostered a successful and
supportive culture at Jaytex Constructions.

Darwin Corporate Park is already being hailed by
the business media as setting a new standard in
commercial hubs in northern Australia. Top-flight
companies have jumped at the opportunity to secure
their tenancy in the most strategic location in Darwin.
Consisting of of eight 3-story buildings and 300 secure
basement car parks, Darwin Corporate Park solidly
provides for Darwin’s growth.
Jaytex’s impressive financial capacity, coupled with
experience in fund management and cost control,
instilled confidence in the client. Partnering with trusted
contractors, such as national consulting firm, Lucid,
who undertook the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic
design, Jaytex confidently delivered the project within
budget to the required quality standards.
With a connective, free-flowing style, the fully
landscaped park delivers dual benefits, offering
attractive highway curbside appeal for prospective
tenants and seamless business-to-business dealings
within the hub.
This iconic Park was not without its challenges. To meet
deadlines Jaytex had to excavate basements during
the Darwin wet season. Darwin gets almost six times
more rain than the southern states meaning prospective
basements turn into muddy swimming pools. Jaytex
engineered a solution, using a continuous pumping
system to remove the water as it fell. Special measures
to control sediment and other environmental issues
were also identified and carried out by our highly trained
team.
Newest technology provides uninterrupted connectivity
with NBN throughout. A 5.5 star NABERS rating is the
aim and the expectation for this exceptional build and
Jaytex are proud to have poured our blood, sweat and
skills into Darwin’s future.

The Gulf Centre was the brainchild of local family
who saw an opportunity to capitalise on a key Darwin
location. This speculative build required more flexibility
than normal builders can handle, and more client
support than most builders will give. At Jaytex we
relished the opportunity to help a local family build their
investment portfolio, which additionally supported local
businesses by offering desirable yet uncommon spaces.
Working with one existing structure Jaytex applied its
ingenuity to seamlessly weave five new buildings in and
create an array of mixed-use spaces that satisfy a wide
cross-section of businesses. The boutique offices cater
for small office users through to showroom and light
industry needs, and collectively form the Gulf Centre.
The client appreciated the benefits and ease of Jaytex’s
build solutions and great community connections, which
we continued to tap to get the best result for the client.
Jaytex collaborated with Concept Designs’ George
Savis, known for his beautifully designed builds across
Darwin, to deliver an attractive, detailed and practical
development.
Without knowing the exact end product, we focused
on future proofing the development. We provided extra
conduits and power- and water-meter panels to deliver a
world of possibilities and designed user-friendly spaces
for prospective tenants.
The flexibility Jaytex enabled throughout this project
was unparalleled. As always we maintained full
transparency regarding any variations to original works.
Understanding the needs of the client, we completed
sections of the build to accommodate leases being
signed simultaneously; 60% of spaces were leased by
the end of the build and 80% less than two months later.
This diverse and specialised build used our full range
of services – detailed design, project management and
quality construction – to bring to Darwin an individual
yet detailed, multi-use centre that will be a stalwart for
generations to come.

Before the NT Motorcycle Centre came to Jaytex they
worked on top of each other out of a hot tin shed.
They were out of space, the building didn’t cater for
their business and the layout was inefficient. Knowing
Jaytex’s experience with custom builds, innovative
solutions and amicable staff they were the obvious
choice for the job.
Working intimately with the client Jaytex brought their
extensive experience in design and construction and
reinvention in the retail sector to bring to life the best
motorcycle shop in Australia.
Not one to dismiss quality and style for convenience,
Jaytex emphasised the unique fittings – an innovative
air-conditioning solution, internal used-oil collection point
and exhaust removal system – to seamlessly unite the
highly specialised requirements for bike servicing with
attractive design and practical workshop flow.
The exceptional custom design delivered a beautifully
integrated solution for NT Motorcycle Centre’s office,
showroom and warehouse elements, wowing the
interstate Harley Davidson franchise members.
Jaytex proved their willingness to go above and beyond
to deliver projects to clients’ tight deadlines when the
Epoxy Seal for the NT Motorcycle Centre’s polished
concrete floors was delayed. What did they do? The
Jaytex team jumped on a plane to Sydney and brought
it back in check-in luggage, much to the confusion of
the airline staff.
With their new purpose-built space the NT Motorcycle
Centre has increased its productivity, has room to grow
and delivers a first class experience for both customers
and staff. This unique build highlights what can be
achieved with Jaytex constructions at your side.

Flexibility was key to this development so that the
owners could offer a great range of options for potential
buyers. The Berrimah Business Centre is 20 strata titled
units located on Stuart Highway frontage in Berrimah.
Jaytex undertook the design and construction,
also supporting the owners through the fire
decompartmentalisation requirements to achieve
certification of occupancy for the Berrimah Business
Centre complex design.
Above and beyond the design and construction, the
support and critical knowledge provided by Jaytex
ensured that the owners were across building and
tenancy fire hazard codes and requirements to achieve
certification of occupancy for the complex.
With a range of different sizes on offer, in a key
location to capitalise on Darwin’s future growth, these
commercial spaces have proven to be hot property in
the Darwin commercial market.
As a warehouse based business with a need to fluently
check in and out products, CSG’s disjointed office and
warehouse set up was hampering business efficiency.
Making use of Jaytex’s specialty of custom design and
construction, CSG took the opportunity to have their
new premises designed around their business and
completely optimised for their unique needs.
Space optimisation analysis was undertaken to increase
efficiencies, reduce their footprint, and save costs.
Location was also enhanced, maintaining their powerful
corporate image.
The Jaytex team enjoy delivering the specialised needs
required by purpose-built developments. The efficient
and striking designs they create bring clients’ visions

RSEA were a client that knew what they wanted, down
to the tiniest detail. As a new franchise to Darwin Jaytex
worked closely with RSEA to deliver a showroom
(1000m2), warehouse (600m2) and office (200m2)
building to their exact specifications, infused with local
knowledge and understanding.
RSEA saw the strategic benefit of the land position and
approached Jaytex knowing their familiarity of the area
and ease of process that they offer. The continuity of
service and relationship Jaytex offer, where clients can
deal with one person, allows for deeper understanding,
straightforward process and effective collaboration. You
ask for it done – we get it done. Nothing more to it.
Particular attention was given to bulky goods access
and warehouse racking efficiency to ensure a high-
functioning end result. A stunning polished concrete
floor sets the tone and grandeur of the showroom, and
with Stuart Highway frontage it is ideally situated. Built
on time and on budget, with a stand-out finish, Jaytex
proves its attention to detail and respect for quality.
Territory Generation are the Northern Territory’s power.
This government owned electricity producer has unique
requirements for constant air-conditioning to a secure
control room, uninterrupted power supply and strict
security.
Jaytex worked closely with the client, and within their
tight requirements, to achieve an outstanding result.
Our particular expertise in office planning allowed us
to contribute to the design process, adding value by
providing recommendations on the best use of space
