ServicesSite ManagementRFI has over 30 years’ experience in designing solar PV systems. We offer a ‘no charge, no obligation’ site assessment that will demonstrate clearly whether your site will be suitable for a renewable energy system. We will come to your site, make a physical assessment of the building or ground space, as well as other factors such as shading from surrounding buildings or trees. A preliminary wind speed assessment can also be made. We will also check existing electrical systems to assess the most suitable connection points for your system.

System DesignRFI’s team of qualified engineers, all CEC accredited, will evaluate the site assessment data, and working with your building designs or site conditions, design your renewable energy system. This design will include engineering drawings of the system overlaid on to your site, electrical single line diagrams, power generation estimates and, if required, engineering certification of roof loading.

Capital Expenditure QuotationsBased on the developed System Design, RFI can produce detailed capital expenditure figures. The Capex will be all inclusive and fixed for the scope of work described. The Capex will also include estimates of the production of Small Technology Certificates (up to 100kW) or Renewable Energy Certificates generated by the proposed system.

Project Management and InstallationOften overlooked, professional project management processes are critical to the timely and effective delivery of your solar power project. RFI is a professional project management company with qualified engineers dedicated to your renewable energy project. They will manage all aspects of your project, with particular emphasis on the safety and environmental management issues.

Service and MaintenanceSolar PV systems in general require minimal maintenance, however regular cleaning and checks of the electrical connections are recommended for optimal performance. Systems which include wind turbines will require maintenance regimes as specified by the manufacturers. Remote system monitoring can be undertaken by RFI’s engineering team.

RFI has delivered this 1.12MW roof top solar plant at Rouse Hill for Northwest Rapid Transit facility. It is one of the largest roof top solar systems in Australia, consisting of 3287 of 340W solar modules and 15 large commercial grid-connected inverters.

From June to earlier October 2017, RFI supplied and delivered all the main system components on site and successfully installed the solar arrays and racking system within a strict project time-line.

RFI is working on this 100kW roof mounted solar system at the RFI Melbourne Branch to offset the electricity usage and reduce power bills. The 40kWh energy storage system will also reduce the peak demand power on site. Besides design and supply of this battery on-grid PV system, RFI will also liaise with the network provider, obtain grid-connection approval, and manage

delivery of the whole project. This project is scheduled to be complete in Feb 2018.

RFI completed this EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project in late 2015. It is in total a 45kW grid-connected solar system flush mounted on the roof. Fixed guardrails around the roof edges were also supplied and installed. RFI

successfully managed multiple sub-contractors in this project to deliver better outcomes.

RFI’s scope of work includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of this 200kW ground

mount solar system which is designed to operate and last in a high humidity and salty corrosive environment.
