Who are we?RedR is an international disaster relief charity which saves lives by giving aid workers the vital skills they need to do their jobs to the highest standard possible.
▪ Emergency response: capacity building & technical support in immediate aftermath of large-scale disasters ▪ Open training for humanitarian staff across 5 offices ▪ Tailor made training for organisations ▪ Projects: disaster preparedness & response for local government, civil society, local NGOs etc.

We provide trainings across the following areas:
Technical: WASH, Shelter, Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction, Health
Humanitarian standards & principles: Sphere, Core Humanitarian Standard etc
Management: monitoring & evaluation, needs assessment, project management
Safety & Security: personal S&S, security management
Where do we work?▪In 2014 - 15 we delivered training in 45 countries ▪Five regional hubs in Amman, Islamabad, Khartoum, London and Nairobi
2015 Nepal Earthquakes▪UN: 473,000 homes destroyed; 2.8
million people displaced (1.1 million children)
▪Shelter needs: According to the Nepalese government, 604,930 houses were "fully damaged" by the earthquakes, 288,856 were "partially damaged"
▪A comprehensive training programme covering 3 areas deemed in urgent need of attention: Shelter, Wash, Project Cycle Management ▪449 people trained (aid workers and community volunteers involved in reconstruction efforts)
▪Courses delivered: ▪Safer Shelter Construction ▪Safe Temporary Learning Centre

Refugee Response Training"I have learned how important it is to stop and
