ABOVE: Fun went along with learning during the 3 one-week July sessions of the Falmouth Recreation Department’s Summer Kids Camp at FCTV. Each week the kids learned the basics of television production from how to operate a camera to planning and filming their own independent TV shows. In the condensed time they had together, the kids made short videos (referred to as “shorts”) to illustrate the concepts learned in the class. Week 1 kids produced an untitled family drama short centering around a funeral. The Week 2 group did a short about kids trapped in an iPad. Week 3 campers decided to do a short about a world where tacos rain from the sky.
