S.B.A. – School Based Assessment (Internal Assessment)

1. The SBA contributes the highest percentage (40%) to the final mark

compared to the other Science subjects.

2. In Unit 1 students are required to develop a coaches' training

programme and to demonstrate their skills in a coaching activity and

also officiating a practical activity.

3. In Unit 2 students will be required to plan and implement a one-day

sporting event for no less than five teams of the same age group to

include school and/or community teams.

4. The SBA component of Physical Education and Sport is quite

extensive for both units. Please refer to the attached syllabus for

details.
