Prior Work Experience:– ERP Intern – Industrial and Financial Solutions (IFS)

– Software Development Intern – HCL Technologies Ltd.

Skills:– Office Productivity Suites: MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint.

– Programming Languages: C, C++, C# (ASP.NET), JAVA (J2EE), and MATLAB.

Project Description and Sponsor Expectations

RSW – Only Web Application used by Cummins’s North American Dealers and International Distributors to file Claims over the Web.

Current Issues with RSW can be divided into following categories:

– Reduce business cost of claim administration by moving claim traffic to the web.

– Increased customer satisfaction in using the web.

– Securing Cummins proprietary data against misuse.

– Upgrading to latest web technologies that support growing business demands.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Preparing IT Project Management Documentation:– Project Contract

– Project Plan (Microsoft Project)

– Roles and Responsibility Map

Wireframes and Prototypes:– Responsible for validating Application Prototypes with respect to

the Wireframes.

– Identifying Discrepancies and reporting them to Off-Shore Development Team.

– Constantly updating Wireframes (MS Visio) to incorporate changes made during Team Discussions.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Creating Detailed Functional Test Plan for the New Web Application:– Created a field level functional test plan for the newly developed

solution.

– Created over 600 Test Cases to test Field Level functionalities and Business Validations governing the new Application

Content Management:– Responsible for gathering screen by screen Content Requirements

for the New Web Application.

– Created a detailed Content Requirements Skelton that will be used by the Business to deliver Content (Helpful Hints, Tool Tips, Special Messages, FAQs and Help Page) to the Development Team.

What am I taking Away from this Experience?

Heavy focus on Pre-Development Analysis is critical.

Proper Communication Channels are Imperative to prevent Gaps, Deficiencies and Slippage in an IT Project. Proper and Efficient Interfacing between Business and Developers is essential

for Project Success.

ITPM Methodologies are there for a reason.

Process Information Documentation for SOx (ITGC) Applications:– Prepared Access Documentation for SOx (ITGC)

Applications such as RAPIDServe (RSS)

– This Deliverable helped in streamlining and reducing redundancies in the Process followed by Business to provide access for new Users to SOx (ITGC) Applications.
