Helping At School

As we enter Spring the school garden beds are due for some attention. If you are free to offer some time

to assist with some gardening it would be most appreciated. This could be as little as 30 minutes.

Assistance with weeding and pruning is always welcome. Please see Karen in the front office.

Kindergarten Orientation

Our first orientation day for kindergarten 2020 was held today. We had many excited students who

came up and joined Mrs Bushell for some great classroom fun. It was so good to see many happy

smiling faces. Our next Kindergarten day will be next Thursday. Don’t forget that our new kindergarten

2020 students will be joining in on the Halloween fun. Come dressed as your favourite Halloween

character.

School Photos 2019

School Photo day is Monday 4 November. Order forms will be sent home shortly. Please remember to

wear your regular school shirt (Either yellow or green shirts) for this day. Year 6 shirts should be saved

for Tuesday during this week.

High school orientation is quickly approaching.

Queanbeyan High School orientation days are:

Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November, the fourth week of term.

Karabar High School is:

Tuesday 3 December, the eighth week of term

3-6 Camp

5 weeks until we travel to Sydney for our awesome adventure. The final details and itinerary will be sent

home. This will be a great excursion filled with many educational experiences. Remember that the

payment for camp will need to be finalised by, Friday 8 November. We are more than happy to discuss

anything camp related with you, just come up and make an appointment to speak with us.

Share Our Space Program

Thank you to all those that shared our space during the term 3 school holidays. We hope that you were

able to access and use the resources of the school throughout the break. We hope that this program

can continue throughout the Christmas Holidays as well.

The Miners have been working on quickly

recognising numbers in Numeracy this week.

CAPTAINS CLASS NEWS

The Captain making good use of the donated boxes (thank-you) to discover the net of objects to design and

redesign the blueprints in our Maths work this week.

P&C News

The P&C is currently looking into grants to assist the school with some furniture needs. We are hoping to be successful and to assist the school in making some changes to the way the rooms are set up. We are also preparing to host the market BBQ in November, so if you have time to turn some sausages please let Bec or Liza know. The next P&C meeting is Wednesday next week, if you are interested in hearing more about what is happening at the school and how you can be involved please come along. We meet at 6pm in the library.
