The questions are prompts and not intended to be fixed. Some people may direct you away from the questions into much more interesting territory. It is recommended that the conversations be audio recorded to capture all the nuances that would be lost if just notes were taken. It is also recommended that the person being interviewed gets a final veto before publishing their memories. Some may wish only their family to view. Once the interviewee reads or listens to the finished product, they may wish to add more or edit out some of the parts that may cause others harm. This task may be used to fulfil the recommended one hour per week volunteer work which is one of the three Emergence life missions; the other two being minimum 1% of income to selfless charity and one kindness bomb per day PROCEDURE 1. Find someone to interview and set it up with full disclosure of the purpose 2. Agree on privacy of the output. Interviewee may wish to not be named or not wish any output to be published for 20 years. The interviewee’s wishes are to be respected and followed as long as they agree with basic harm minimisation principles. 3. Conduct first interview 4. Turn interview into draft written article or prepare draft audio or video 5. Show person draft for any further ideas 6. Complete final edit 7. Get final approval from interviewee and nominated loved one 8. Publish online publicly or send output to interviewee and nominated loved one 9. If published online, send links to interviewee and nominated loved one 10. Almost killed one of my friends: I was the driver and he was car surfing Are there any secrets that you’ll never tell anyone to protect yourself or others? There used to be family secrets but I grew tired of this and have divulged almost everything online. There are still details that I have withheld to protect my family; even the ones who have cut me off! How could a perfect or better version of your life been different? Wife not having debilitating chronic illness and me having increased mental resilience would be nice… How would you like to be remembered by your loved ones?
