Connected Action Roadmap
Where we are
We have been utilizing PLC structures for several years.
Allocate Tuesday end of day meetings to weekly department PLCs.
Teachers develop curriculum, assessments, review student work and share best practices in response to internal and external data.
However, we never had PLC training and lack norms and firm routines.
Curriculum conversations are not as focused.

English and Social Studies Supervisors
Grade 11 English and Social Studies teachers
Met every other week to go through and discuss modules 1-3
Began conversation with administrative team
Agreed to focus professional development on PLCs for 2016-2017
The Plan
Use coach to plan two day administrative and lead teacher training this summer.
Utilize in-services throughout the year to train staff in department PLCs.
Use existing weekly PLC meetings to implement training/practice.
Explore additional PLC meetings every other week.
PLC groups of four select curriculum and units to apply training.
