FOREWORD

Dear Reader,

The Carbomat Group was established in 2006 as an innovative distributor/importer, with the objective of adopting a different way to collaborate with the professional installer and the business world, in terms of support and supply.

Backed by over 20 years’ experience and sound relations in the market-place, Carbomat has grown into one of Belgium’s most successful family businesses.

Remaining faithful to our objectives has allowed us to form into five differ-ent divisions: Carbomat Tech, Carbomat Eco, Carbomat Lighting, Mecofab and Eurothermic. These days, we are already active in various countries including Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Morocco

Carbomat Group is a successful enterprise that is continually thinking about further expansion and looking for partners abroad who share the same objectives.

Logistics/Inventory:Our strength is in keeping available a large inventory so that we can always sat-isfy customers. With our inventory management and thoroughly advanced computer systems, we strive to supply our customers rapidly and meticulously.

Training:With a separate training department within the Carbomat Group, our training activities are one of the key factors in our success. Since the company was found-ed in 2006, more than 4,000 installers have already attended internal training, and the Carbomat training activities have become a household word in the market. Thanks to these training activities installers are able to make a difference in a very competitive market. Service/support: Technical support has been a priority ever since the company was founded. A team of engineers provides our customers with assistance in calculating and following up all their projects.In addition, thanks to a solid team of professional employees, we are able to provide every customer with flexible, personalised service.

Products:We always endeavour to work almost exclusively with top quality European products. Our buyers are constantly seeking the latest technological innovations in this dynamic sector.

THE COMPANY’S HISTORY AND GROWTH

Founded in 2006 as an innovative distributor/importer in Halle (Brussels, Belgium), the Carbomat Group has now grown into one of Belgium’s most successful family business-es. With annual sales exceeding 100 million euro, 55 members of staff, and operations in Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK, the Carbomat Group is one of the most promi-nent technical distributors in the renewable energy sector.

TECH - DIVISIONOur TECH division can provide all your electrical installation needs, lighting, etc.Naturally, we work exclusively with brands that guarantee quality and service. In order to be able to meet our customers needs, we offer an optimum level of inventory of the most common products in demand. Our broad range consists of, amongst other items, cables and wire, domestic and industrial switching equipment, ducting, fixings and tools. In addition, you will also find domestic automation and security equipment, ventilation, heating, access control, gate automation, etc.

We are always looking to the future and are constantly looking for new products, sys-tems, solutions and the latest technologies.

LIGHTING - DIVISIONIn 2011, in order to provide enhanced advice and support to our customers, CARBOMAT invested in a totally modernised lighting showroom of 500m². In this showroom, all the leading lighting brands in terms of design are displayed in a house-hold setting. A professional team of four persons advises and assists customers with creative ideas for making their choices. Every project is detailed in a 3D light study.

In the re-lighting division, energy saving is particularly prominent. In many enterprises, lighting can represent a considerable part of their electricity consumption, but thanks to the most modern lighting products, electricity consumption can be reduced by be-tween 30% and 50%.

ACTIVITIES

ECO - DIVISIONSince its inception in 2008, over 150MW of solar panels has already been sold. Over-all this would represent a surface area of over 1km². The ECO division has grown into one of the market leaders in the renewable energy sector such as photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, heat pump boilers, thermal solar collectors, wind turbines, data logging systems, micro-CHP connections, assembly systems, etc.Supported by a large range of quality products, we are constantly looking for new technologies and the latest market developments in this very active and dynamic sector.Our strong performance in the PV market has not gone unnoticed, and in 2011, REC awarded us “growth partner” of the year. This award gives us the status of Platinum Partner with REC!As exclusive importer of Euronom, high quality Swedish heat pumps, we also offer an all-in concept for floor heating in collaboration with Henco.The user-friendliness and flexibility of our dynamic e-shop ensure that orders can be entered, checked and executed quickly and correctly at any time.Branches have now been opened in the Netherlands and the UK where local teams look after the ongoing development of the ECO division abroad.

MECOFAB - DIVISIONBy setting up its Mecofab division, the Carbomat Group is also focussing on the produc-tion of innovative assembly solutions for PV installations for carports, charging pillars for electric-powered cars and bicycles, from ground-level arrangements through to full roof solutions.In September 2012, Mecofab won the “Energy efficiency Award” with its Mecospan prod-uct.Mecofab was developed to provide an all-in roof solution combining insulation, roof and solar panels all in one.

EUROTHERMIC - DIVISIONWith Eurothermic, the Carbomat Group is addressing the market of thermal solar panels. Nowadays, 85% of the energy budget goes into heating sanitary water. With the continual rise in energy costs, the introduction of thermal solar panels to the market is a logical step.These products enable the Carbomat Group to devote resources into developing markets abroad.

In this fast-changing environment, the challenge is to be constantly innovative and pro-gressive. Looking towards the future, the Group’s growth will come from an ongoing expansion of its existing divisions. At the same time, the Group will continue to apply itself to developing new products, in order to place them as strongly as possible in the marketplace. Developing markets abroad is a priority for the Group and it is constantly looking for partners in new markets.
